Don't Necrons have little to no personality? Why would the C'Tan allow them to keep memories of their names and such if they want to keep their individuality under the radar?

BTW newer stuff for the next Codex seems to allow personality in Necron Lords, comparable to the Tyranid Hive Lord.

I did a Rust Theme for my Necrons and I ran two Lords, One regular (Res orb,VoD,Warscythe) and one Wraithlord(Destroyer,PS,Res orb Warscythe. Pretty much destroyer lord arms on a wraith) The regular lord was called Tetanus and the Wraithlord was called Lockjaw. Also, all of my Necrons (save Pirahas) were dipped in Wood Stain to give them th look of worn down and rusted.

My Destroyer Lord is Sovereign and foot lord is Horde Prime. Think of names the Imperium would come up with for a leader of your machine horde, or something that helps define his exploits, basically anything fitting a mechanical death god.
