One thing I'm not sure about is whether the Inquisitor's LR counts as one of the three Heavy Support choices. If so, I'll replace one of them with another squad of Grey Knights.

1. Drop the Lord. he's garbage. Such a huge point sink you won't get anything out of him. Not a bash, just not a good unit.

2. Stern is good and is the only Hero worth using a retinue with as you can't upgrade his equipment, though you lose the ability for a 2nd psycannon which after many many games of playing both ways, I have dropped the retinue so I can add another psycannon. It just works better.

3. PAGKs should NEVER run incinerators unless you know you are facing daemons. You are a shooting army first, not assault. Psycannons are a MUST upgrade. Use your 24" and 36" ranges to pelt your enemy from afar. Then if they get close you finish them off in assault. Most mobs won't make it.


With 500pts saved from the Lord, I'd look at running a BC and more terminators w/ 3 psycannons (no retinue), hammerhand, with 4 terminators in an elite slot.

Drop your Stern Retinue to 4 terminators. Points now to buy an elite inquisitor w/ psycannon and power armor so you can keep your assassin, and your inquisitor can attach to a PAGK squad and fire yet another psycannon.

The last 100pts upgrade your incinerators to psycannons.

Incinerators are amazing...especially when youre running a triple land raider list...you'll get much more for your points with them.

Stern is a yes yes...once again youre in a LR and our terminators eat other terminators or whatever else they run into...having a free hammerhand and holocaust is pure win.

Vindicare...debatable if he makes his points back...you kill a nob and now orks can't touch your LR's...sure...he only killed 40 points or so but he just greatly affected the game. Just make use of his ability to snipe out whichever singular models you need gone in certain squads.

You need 2 mystics...for the anti deepstrike ability as well.

You dont need veteran stormtroopers.

I am not a fan of teleport attack GKs and I would just make them a normal squad without special weapons...more guys!

One Landraider at 2500 pts? What will he use in exchange? Where is his anti-tank going to come from? Where would you suggest he put the rhinos? GK can't take dedicated transports. I'm not aware of any other way to put rhinos in this list beyond what's already there. I guess the inquisitor could have a rhino, but then again, if anything, I'd not waste 50 points on him to have one.

My suggestion:

- Consider reworking the inquisitor retinue. You give your Inquisitor BS 5, yet he doesn't have anything worth shooting. You have one Mystic, which means you get to shoot that squad at something deepstriking, but one of your things in that squad is short range. The other two can't fire on the move, which is when you'd use the melta. It seems like you're overextending what you want to use him for. My advice is to get rid of the sage and the warriors, and give him another mystic. Alternatively, give him three warriors with either heavy bolters, or meltas, and then run with that as appropriate.
- Drop IST to min size, lose vets (as ductvader said)
- Offload one of the land raiders into your inquisitor's dedicated transport position.
- Find points for a lascannon dreadnought.
- Other people have spoken about the FA GKs. I see their uses, but I'm not convinced they're worth it. I'd either make them a regular squad, or at least toughen them up beyond min size. If you do everything above I recommend other than add the dreadnought, you should have enough points to make them max size and still have 22 left over.
