All too true. Scale is the most common question asked about a new companies models.

As a retailer, I've got burnt this way, sometimes for 100's of dollars at a time. Someone puts up cool greens, eveyone loves them, I order an assortment through the company direct, and lo and behold, the miniatures don't look anywhere as good as the greens, and the are way off in scale compared to GW or another company.

Lesson to be learned: Get a sample of 1 or 2 miniatures, and never-ever get caught up in the latest gamer hype over 'must have' miniatures. If they don't have professional packaging, are late getting you stuff, don't return phone or emails, or give off any other warning signs, DON'T SEND THEM THE MONEY.

Capitals used to remind myself of the lesson I never seem to learn.) ....oooh, look at that! Gots to get me some of those....

....and lo!.....The Age of Sigmar came to an end when Saint Veetock and his hamster legions smote the false Sigmar and destroyed the bubbleverse and lead the true believers back to the Old World.

I have been "investigating" the ins and outs of making a small mini company and yes I tend to agree with mikhaila... having miniatures for sale is only half of what should be required from a mini company.
Professional packaging is not that simple to organise and many just put miniatures in a bubblewrap envelope... others dont have scale shots so its always hard to know if the miniature fits your collection etc.

There's many things to consider if you want to make a small company and most of them cost money

Thanks, I've been on both sides of the counter before and I really want to make sure OTLG stays friendly and helpful to our customers and retailers. We try our best to listen to fans' requests and critiques, and even if we don't appear to act on things right away (Stupid pricey Badgers), we often do alot of stuff behind the scenes.

Chipmunk Weapon Teams are being sculpted atm, Gatling Gun & Mortar options.

Guinea pigs have been highly requested (Right behind Chinchillas), and we do have plans for them, but they aren't in Historia Rodentia so it will be alittle bit of time before they get released. It wouldn't be fair to the armies without models if we started to do new stuff just yet.

But seriously, they're in the works, they'll be adorably awesome just like the real thing.

I'd love to do that sort of thing Marcus, but its just not possible with Metals. Plastics are ridiculously cheap to get cast (its the molds that are expensive), Your welcome to stop by our booth at Hurricon next week and check out all the models in person.

There is a character Beaver in the Axony faction, he is based on Sharpe, and we have plans for a Beaver troop at a later point. There are Gophers and Marmots, which are kinda like Groundhogs, just without the awesome time controlling abilities.

Ramshackle Games have started to do that with their newer models.

e.g. Version 2 of the boxed game.

And scale pictures with ruler

Not everything is scaled up but the galley includes a number of shots with other company's products, giving you something of a scale vibe.

It is nice to have some idea of scale. But not that important

I have only had minor gripes with the scaling of historical or military figures.

Obviously anything looks off if you compare it to GW's propriety 'heroic distorted scale'.

Wow, those size comparisons are great! I didn't realize the badgers were so beefy compared to a marine (in a good way!). Thanks for sharing that
