I'm not sure how many of you have heard but probably most everyone has I'm sure but either way there is a Space Marine first person shooter coming out for the X-Box 360 and the thing sony makes too and it's supposed to come out summer of 011 and it actually looks really cool even though your playing Ultramarines.... but I was exstatic when I saw the article in Game Informer

"Space Marine FPS?" gets the message cross just fine. More exclamation points and question marks than that is just annoying to look at.

Sorry I'm not all here this morning woke up at 4:30 and apparently I've been in the dark sorry for the over use of punctuation I'm incredibly excited about this the last time one was made it was really crappy quality

It's certainly an exciting prospect! One cannot blame you for that.

However, I haven't seen anything yet that says you're definitely, 100% playing Ultramarines. To be fair, I have yet to read the GI article. Was that stated in the article itself?

There was a preview picture of an ultramarine without his helm holding his bolter firing it at something or the other and a couple more pics of some orks

for one, it' not an FPS, it's an action-adventure RPG, so sometime similar to Fable, Zelda, Elder Scrolls etc.... Also in the trailer the only chapter you see are Ultramarines, so most likely you will be playing a smurf.

Thaanos is right, however i think its supposed to be alot more into combat then those games. This isnt new news, its also the wrong forum, we have a happy little Video Game forum down the bottom of the page.

Haha, I love it. I like this forum but there are some grammar snobs here.

From what I've seen of it, it's basically Gears of War...without the cover system.

Oh, and in the opening set piece, you're a Space Marine...acting as the door gunner on a Valkyrie.

Every trailer has you playing as Ultramarines. I think it's pretty fair to say you play as an Ultramarine exclusively in the campaign. As for unlockable skins and multiplayer, that's another thing altogether.

Also, this game was going to be a third person action game with RPG elements, but those seem to have really been toned down. It's a shame since I liked them, but the game still looks like a blast.

If you're going to ask more questions about this game just Google it. You'd be surprised how quickly that solves most questions.

40k Space Marine is coming out one the PS3 (The thing Sony makes), 360, and PC

Looks interesting enough, and from what I have seen should be a quick play with lots of exciting jumping and smashing of Orks.

As far as I know it is still TPS.

Who needs cover when you have a 3+?

Who needs cover when you bowl through walls getting to grip with the foul xenos?

Its a third person shooter with upgadeable weapons.

I wish people would stop suggesting that on forums. Recently I have been googling questions, and the top answer is a forum topic where someone is told to go google it. Google does not answer questions, people answer questions, google just links to those people. If people start linking to google then we are just going to get into recursion.

Have you tried googling recursion?

3PS, but it looks fun enough. Some action elements mixed in for melee, which should be good.
