When they assault, their assaulting with STR 6 PWs. The Star Lance gives a STR 8 PW and the Withdraw ability allows me to hit and run. I was thinking about Hit and Running and letting my Guardians fire a ton of shots into them. Ill have to read up on warlocks. Should i max out my troops units to 12? I checked out the warlocks on jetbikes. they look pretty awesome. I could toss in a squad and take out a squad of Shining Spears.

Do not pursue this. It's one of those lists that looks great on paper, but fails hard in practice. Use jetbikes as they ARE great, but do not base your list on them.

I think bluedagger is being a bit too negative. Eldar Jetbike lists aren't as competitive as they could be, but since you already have a first army, you can still make a decent jetbike army. http://saimhann.blogspot.com/#/ This is fritz's blog, hes a really good player, and he usually plays Jetbike eldar. If you want to look at a list for guidance to building a jetbike army- thats a good place to start. I would change the configuration of your jetbike squads. I find that the warlock is usually always worth it. Take packs of 6 accompanied by a warlock with a singing spear and either embolden or destructor. The warlock will add far more than additional bikes. His singing spear fires at ballistic skill 4, and hits tanks at s9. Re rolls to leadership make sure the squad keeps on the field after shooting casualties, or destructor for toasting infantry. Shinning spears kinda suck, however jetseer councils are quite solid. Take a fortune seer on a jetbike, and a squad of 6-8 warlocks on bikes. Give em enhance, embolden and a few destructors, fortune em, and beat face. Vypers also work nice in terms of delivering fire power to a jetbike list, due to thier relative inexpensiveness and heavy weapons. I would take eml + underslung cannon. that way you can move 12 inches and shoot all your guns at infantry (it should be noted that bs3 enjoys firing blast templates ), or target tanks if you need to. double cannon can work as well if strapped for points In any event, check out some of fritzes lists, and see if any of them strike your fancy.

Thanks a ton. That helps me out a lot. I was actually reading the codex a lot more and i'm getting a better understanding of how things work.
I was actually just planning on doing the Farseer with 6 Warlocks. Ill read that post and update my list and then ill go from there.
One question though, how do you model the warlocks on the jet bikes? Should I just use the Guardian bodies and just find the witch blade bits or is there some other way. I know thats a real noob question but im used to kit bashing orks and not worrying about stuff like this haha.
Thanks again!

There are 2 ways to make warlocks / seers on bikes 1) bits and green stuff / trial and error until you are happy with them. I made mine this way. Took a Guardian Jetbike, made him robes out of greenstuff, green stuffed his helmet to make it look more warlocky, and gave him a dire avenger exach spear arm. After some messing about, Voila! warlock with singing spear on a jetbike. Of course I only have 2. I use them as upgrades on my Guardian Bike Squads, I don't play a council. 1) The other option is Chapter House Studios conversion kits http://chapterhousestudios.com/webshop/component/virtuemart/?page=shop.browse&category_id=36&vmcchk=1

Would it be a good idea to shave some points from the Guardian squads and try to fit in another squad of warlocks? The more im reading, the more brutal they sound.

Well, the Jetlocks should do the dirty work while the GJBs are kept shooty.
This is a nice plan. But to keep the GJBs out of cc, I'd give each squadron two shuricannons.

This looks like fun - if a little labour intensive.
I'd be wary of putting many more points into the one unit and you can only take another unit if you take another HQ.
Probably best to leave some durability in your troops imo.
For 1000 you can put up:
Fortuneseer on a bike.
7 Jetlocks with Conceal, Embolden, Enhance and 4 Destructors.
2 units of 6 GJBs w/ 2 Cannons + Embolden Jetlock w/ Singing Spear
3 Vypers w/ EML and underslung ShuriCannon.
Trim down the council if you want to pimp out your Seer (Stones, Guide, Warding?) some more.

Destructors eventually bring the Jetlocks out of charge range.

Thanks everyone for all their input. I never thought about the Vypers. Thats a great idea. I wasnt to sure how i was going to bust open armor...that could solve a lot of my problems. I'm pretty pumped about the list. I'll do some more thinking and update it a little later. Thanks again guys!

Instead of the Vypers, would 1 or 2 fire prisms be a better choice for tank hunting? While i love the idea of the Vypers because their jet bikes, i still want to be semi competitive =)

Well, two naked Prisms will make it into most mech Eldar lists.
I see no pts left in your current army to add two Prisms.

List updated.
Im throwing around the idea of dropping the Vypers and throwing in 1 Prism. What do you experienced Eldar players think would be a better option? I'm mainly concerned with not being able to take down armor. The Missile launchers seem like a pretty good choice, but their only BS 3 so Ill probably miss half the time.
Thank you guys for your input and patience with my mind numbing questions.

Well, looks quite good. The Vypers will do better than a single Prism.
You have enough anti-tank at the 1000 pt level:
shuricannons and eml's for side armor and Jetseers for heavy armor, if necessary.
Give it a try.

I wouldn't worry about Anti Tank either. When you consider that your seer council hits tanks at s9 in melee, and you have 2 warlocks with your troops who also have 12 inch s9 shots, you'll do fine on armor, especially with eml shots from vypers. I wouldn't run so many singing spears on your council. I believe they get 2 attacks if they keep their witchblade, and since this unit plans on seeing some heavy cc, its good to keep their number of attacks up. I would drop down to 2 singing spears on your warlocks, and give a singing spear to your farseer (since you want him not in base to base with much) and tossing the spear at bs5 is cool. I would also drop down to 2 destructors on your council, and add underslung cannons to your vypers.

Hey guys, so im starting to buy the models and put this army together. what would you think about this kind of list instead.
HQ:
Farseer
-Jet Bike
-Fortune
-Doom
-Singing Spear
5x Warlocks
-Embolden
-Enhance
-2x Destructors
-1x Singing Spears
Farseer
-Jet Bike
-Fortune
-Doom
-Singing Spear
5x Warlocks
-Embolden
-Enhance
-2x Destructors
-1x Singing Spears
Troops:
3x Guardian Jet Bikes
-1 Cannon
-Warlock
-Singing Spear
-Embolden
3x Guardian Jet Bikes
-1 Cannon
-Warlock
-Singing Spear
-Embolden
This gives me 2 pretty tough units to bring down with another 2 units to support and capture objectives. Thoughts?

TBH im not to worried about the money. I just want an all jet bike list. I already have a pretty competitive ork list. Im looking for something that would be interesting and fun to play, but still be able to hold its own.
I understand its a pretty expensive army but luckily I can put that much into it. Automatically Appended Next Post: The more i look at it, the more im leaning towards the first list.

Honestly if your looking for jsut a fun list and don't care about how much you drop then go for list 1. You won't really see anything like it out there and should be a giggle to play. Neither of the list will be raking in tourney wins but list one should make people scratch their heads a bit on how to fight it.

I agree with BlueDagger.
Your second list has massive vulnerability in the Troops department.
You have overcapitalised with two Councils that can be ignored or tarpitted while your flimsy scoring units get blown apart.
Just not enough units at 1000.
One of those Councils will totally rock at 1000.
I'd suggest using the points from the second to give your opponent more target decisions to make.
The Vypers were a cool choice I thought and will offer a helpful buff to your AT with EMLs.

Meh magnetize things up and don't worry about WYSIWYG ever again
Grab the warlock models from chapterhouse studios, drill a hold in the arm socket/arm and drop mags in. Check my pics for the farseer I did from them, the arm is magged to swap between sword or spear.
Some where in the tutorials I put one up for slot and tab eldar heavy weapons, so you can swap out the vyper's loadout should you care to.
