Actually this is only the Space Base in form of pdf to print.
At the end of this month RebelMinis should release a set with 8 marines (15mm), 16 raptors, this Space Base (20mm grid) and dedicated rules.

If you want only the Base you can get directly this set (available in 1" and 20mm grid).

Hurrah!

For years, players have been crying out for a good system of space c

They look pretty good. Although the scale is possibly a little whacked with those particular miniatures... They would have to walk very carefully on the 'mesh' flooring to avoid putting their feet through it.

I understand what you mean and from a reality point of view that is true. Thank you for your comment.

There are two points anyway to consider:

1) Rebelminis asked for a 20mm grid due to the mini base dimension. You can print at a lower scale if you prefer littler holes.

2) The texture is "representative" of a situation just to help the player to distinguish the texture even from a higher distance and also to have a good looking texture. All in all, minis themselves are evidently out of scale: legs, head and arms are too fat for those bodies.

Great! Thanks!

I wonder how much could help you a 3d door set to place over the 2d Base, or if the 2d door images are enough and you get rid of cutting and gluing all of those fiddle flaps.

This is all fine and dandy, but do you make any industrial towers?

Hi there!

Next to Space Base there will be soon a Tool to design a customizable set of standing doors. Doors are sliding upward.

This a work in progress, but quite final in style. Any comments are welcome.

These look good. Not sold on 15mm single mins though.

For the doors, you should consider a lintel on top, with a slot to pull the door up into.
This will make the door assembly stable.

15mm is too small IMO. Maybe for a vehicle based game with troops mounted together in squads, basically a larger form of 6mm style. For single minis Ill stick to 28mm.

Well these tiles seem to fit with 28mm minis, given that they have either a 1" grid of 20mm grid. They could work.

Thx for those suggestions.

Sliding doors are based on on a double frame that form the front and the back of the structure. You then slide the door in between them. A sort of sandwich.
Assembled with heavy paper the whole is quite strong and fast to build.

The Tool let you scale down the doors for your used minis, so the smaller one can be easily rebuilt even for 15mm. for those concerned about the pillars, there could be a simplified system like orthogonal flat supports. Would it work?

Hi all,

a new Expansion is now available with "expanded" tiles. C.. are now 3" wide, while Rooms are as big as you want, given the modularity of the Rooms.
Basic Set is not needed anyway.

Seeing as how you have the stock images and masters used to create this, consider resizing it to fit 28mm models. It'd be nice to play using the 25mm bases that most/many wargamers play with.

Indeed all Sets currently come in 20mm grid for 15mm minis and 1" grid for 28-30mm.

Hi there,

after a while there's a piece of news about this Base.

The structure is again a full 2.5d for an easier and faster making. Here four colors and two kind of doors.
On a side or both can be placed a terminal with monitors (to be still drawn) to operate doors (or other devices).

See you, Claudio

Yeah but those Galaxy tiles are kinda dippy, and very plain. These ones just have better detail IMO, and as you can't get DOOM any more for its amazing tiles, this is a good substitute in my mind.

Thanks all,

I'd like to recall you that the coolest thing here is that you can change freely the text over the doors and flaps.
