Well, enjoy your nonstop grinding to have a chance at a drop so you can grind better.
And get your random paired adjective items, like the shining pauldrons of the jackal.

I played Diablo 2 for something like 9 years, so I'm used to it.
Anyway thanks for the reminder to not get bogged down in grinding.

Diablo 3 is coming out, and itll be free to play (it better be)
Play that instead. Paying for the grind fest that is WoW! Look at the time I've wasted is a waste.
Also cataclysm (aka ran out of ideas) looks like gak

Played Cataclysm Beta, not going to say much as Blizz willl come round and break my legs. However I will say part of me wishes I was a new player again, as some of the changes make the game so much more fun, its crazy. I already have enough alts as it is, Cata will make me want to have more.

I have the Cataclysm beta as well, which is why I wanted to start again. Leveling is much easier as is with dungeon finder (HOW WAS THIS NOT HERE BEFORE?!?!?!?) and low mana costs for spells, but some of the new mechanics are incredible for leveling.
I just want someone to help me past level 30 or so with grants so that I can level by myself, in exchange you'll get a free RAF zebra

WoW is a terrible game. Leveling is a painful grind after you get to max once or twice. Getting gear at max level is also a pain unless you run one of the dominant arena combos. Raiding sucks. Wiping on Sindragosa at 3 morning because retards can't position their ice blocks correctly.

SW TOR looks promising except for the super cartoonish graphics. I wish they had just improved upon the old KOTOR ones. (or better yet just made a KOTOR 3, but MMOs are the fad now)

Seriously why the do people hate Runescape?? I fail to understand it... both games are good in their own aspect.
Both of them are grind fests. Is it just because Runescape isnt a "Traditional" RPG (Traditional to me is using quests to level).
From a payment aspect Runescape is better, £3.50 a month Vs £9ish a month. Ok so RS updates may not be as good as Wow updates, but at least you dont have to spend £20 when a new expansion comes out.
To make it simple id rather play runescape than Wow at this moment in time. Iv spend a good few years on Runescape and about half a year on Wow, and Runescape still kicks Wows butt imo.
Anyway rant over...
I would recruit you as a friend if i was playing Wow.

I played Runescape for a day...realized 1/2 the population were old men who were pretending to be girls running around in odd outfits.
And the graphics are awful...
IMHO if you want serious MMO play, play WoW it is the top class of all of them even with you having to pay for it.
I don't play either so I'm not supporting what I play... go xbox...

Surprise that graphics were brought into this [/sarcasm]
Graphics dont make the game good, only enhance it.
IMO the gameplay for RS is much more entertaining.
Anyway enough said on RS. This isnt a thread for Runescape Vs World Of Warcraft.

Agreed no need for rants (Your reply is hidden in the quote), back on topic, if I decide to play again for any reason when cataclysm comes out I will gladly recruit you, I might just borrow a pals account.

I, for one, find new characters a great deal of fun - especially when you can get the Heirloom gear to make the grind less of a pain. And gearing up at max level is easy with Wrath now, since most raid groups can (and do) pug it.

haters gonna hate.....never has a statement been so true...ever. Let me first start by saying I no longer play WoW once years ago started when it first came out and hunters could still use maces...what do you know about that?!?! lol. Anyway I played for a good while never got addicted or anything heck I never maxed out a toon(came really close) and I played for a good 3 years. I have gamer ADD and got addicted to the battle grounds lol. Then one day I said to myself "There has to be something better out there!"...so I quit and started my long MMO journey...First I went back to my old Favorite Dark Age of Camelot, I remembered the epic realm battles the great PvP system they had, the more classes and races then I could wag a stick at....then after a trip down memory lane I found myself in the alley of reality and what I found was a barren wasteland, the housing area foreclosed and dungeons over run with mobs....it just felt lonely. So I packed up my bags and moved to the City of Heroes/Villians!!!!! Now this was fresh, exciting, colorful and new.....and then not so new...and then down right repetitive. I think I spent more time in character customization then actually playing the game. Then the gate of Mordor opened and I felt that I could be the new Lord of the Ring....what a fool I was. What I found was alot of herb growing, guitar playing, and down right nice people. But as a PvP'er at heart I could not stand these filthy hobbit hippies I had to set my Axe (both weapon and guitar) down and move onto darker space.....and boy was it dark. I shot wookies in the revamped Star Wars (never got a chance to play old one), Fought aliens on Tabula Rasa (that left a hole in my soul), and got lost and lonely in the void known as EVE. They where all missing somthing and that something was a sword in my hand! I then found Warhammer Online now this was somthing I could sink my teeth into I could gain Xp. through PvP!?!?! No grinding???....but wait in order to PvP I need gear...gear through grinding which wasn't that bad actually. I spent a good amount of time enjoying the game...until the dreaded balance of the server started to shift....long and I mean long que's for the Battle "areas" and terrible other faction raids that actually did start to severly interupt my casual questing so I quit......to try my hand at being a Barbarian...a beautiful boobied barbarian....Conan is a beautiful game seriously the enviroment, mobs, toons and combat....but it is brutal and unforgiving which isn't really a bad thing but I never really dedicated much time to it so I never had a little questing community to watch my back from ganking....so there was alot.....and I mean alot of it going on. You know after all this (granted I always went back to WoW between games) I still find myself day dreaming about WoW instances the Defias raiders, the old crossroads raids, discovering the world that is Warcraft....even now after not playing it for some 2 years when I heard about the new expansion it again sent me spiralling into the past thinking of the possibilities...this is really long winded....and I'm sorry if this is the wrong place to do this...so in summary....WoW is on top for a reason, it is the best MMO out there. For all its down falls there are multiple good things it does right. You cannot deny majority and it's not like a 2 or 3 year run it's been 6 YEARS thats like 100 in game years! It is doing what it needs to right.
*So so soooo sorry Ordo for Hijacking your thread and when I get back home in like 2 months maybe we could be friends...because I really do have to try this new expansion.
