So there's a thread about people's least favourite rules in Warhammer 40k, so I thought I would create a matching thread about rules that people liked the most. I personally really really really like the Combat Tactics rule. I like it because it makes Space Marines into the fluid tactical force described in the fluff, and more importantly its benefits depends on the player's ability to employ tactics that maximize its utility.

What is your favourite rule?

KamikazeCanuck:

Actually I really like the fact that the Chaos Space Marines lack "And They Shall Know No Fear" because the theme of the Chaos Space Marine fluff is selfishness. Space Marines are selfless and willing to die if tacticall necessary, whereas Chaos Space Marines have selfishless abandoned the rational fanaticism of the loyalist Astartes and hence suffer the same morale problems of all units of self-interested agents. Conversely Berzerkers, Plague Marines, etc are all Fearless because they are all crazy, having dedicated themselves body and soul to the Chaos Gods and have the fanaticism without the rational part. Finally, most Chaos Sorcerers are not Fearless because they're the ones with a semi-objective view of their relationship to the Chaos Gods and have really really really good reason to fear their own demise. Daemons, of course, can't actually be killed, so they're Fearless.

Anyhow, enough thread-jack, back on topic!

I like the rules for the SW Lone Wolf it's fun and not too over-powered.
For general rules... movement?... yes. I like the rule which lets you move, i feel it allows the game to be more... fluid.

I like the to hit rolls followed by a to wound roll it makes sense from a flavor and fluff standpoint. ok I hit you but did I do damage to you. Prevents little tiny guys from smoking big powerfull units becouse of one lucky roll.

As much as most people hate it I like the Sweeping Advance rules. Then again I'm a marine player so I'm bias in that I never have that problem

I really like all of Kharn's rules. Specifically, I like how he's pretty much the only unit that hits on a 2+, and against infantry, if he's in a squad, he NEVER misses; he just hits his own guys.

Just fluffy and cool I think. I always use him on his own though, since I have a tendency to murder my own marines really damn fast if he stays with them.
