So i got into my head the other night a great feat of feats. something that just sounds exeptionally fun with 1-9 players depending on how much disposable income your gaming group is willing to waste, or invest if you will. I got the idea from Kill Team from battle missions and from showing many people how to play Warhammer with only like 1 hq and 1 troop games.....The Idea is Zombie appocolypes in the grim dark of 40k.

My idea needs 4+ boxes of zombies (20 per box meaing id want a min of 80 or so zombies, preferably like 120to 160) some Crypt Gouls as well probably only 2-3 boxes of those...(giving about 20-30 ghouls) and one or two demon princes, and then maybe some choas spawn and Plague bearers...

The idea is you take the game master (zombie player) vs an individual or a group of people, and they only start the game with one squad and HQ Unit, and the game could last one to 20 turns or whatever predetermined. it could have objectives or it could just be to survive! From there, you can place scattered small man squads about the map that can be reached by the "Players" to increase their model count. Say another 5 man unit of taq's with flamers, or a Landspeeder, or a Rhino (no LR's!) and the start the zombie player gets say 40 zombies, and 10 ghouls, next turn he gets another 20 zombies and 10 ghouls, and the next so on and so forth, recycling zombies til he has em all on the board every turn later turns. And again the space marines / tau / eldar or whatever would have to work together or be torn to ribbons by the zombies.

I figure the zombies are a Nurgle born thing, so their stats could reflect this, as well

Zombie WS:2 BS:2 Str:3 T:3 W:2 A:2 Fearless, feel no pain
Ghoul WS:4 BS:2 Str:4 T:3 W1 A:2 Fearless, Feel no pain, Fleet

(deamons and plaguebearers if used have same stats as always)

You can different units of zombies as well like "Spitters" or "ragers" or "plagued" and give them special rules like ranged 6-12" str 3 Posioned spit, then one has rage special rule, the other have a str 2 hit in close combat to all in close combat, things like that.

And if one of the players "squadmates" dies, it can come back as a "powerful zombie" under the zombies controls with all the same stats it normaly has, but with one more wound, and Feel no pain!

The board would be set up (in my mind i am thinking of a city battle on some poor Hive world or something) with the zombie player building the table, and placing 2 (for one or two players, 3 for more and so on as the "player" number goes up) markers on any table edge but no closer then 16" to each other. Then the zombie player deploys his undead(none can be withing 24" of the markers), then the Players choose one of the markers, or both if there are two players. Then Roll to see who starts first! The game ends when the preditermined goals are met, or when the zombie player munchs all the Players!

I personally am thinking this is going to be really fun, and a couple people i know who play 40k really want to play it out, and a few people i know who dont play 40k wanna borrow some Guys to play this, it just sounds that fun....

what do you think Dakka!? anything we can improve or better for this specialty mission?

I think you'd be better of with the Wargames Factory zombies as they are cheaper and look like civilians, which with a tiny amount of modification could pass off as imperial citizens.
