ok as much exp as i have playing orks, i generally use a speed freaks setup (lots of trukk squads and nob bikers. this list has been acused of being "point and click" or auto piolet army. this may be true, maybe not. either way im not debating that. what i would like to do however is run a green tide list, to proove once and for all that my orks are more then a hop in trukk, aim and smash setup. my next game is 2000 pts, and im working up a list with what i have.

20 shoota boys
60 slugga boys
10 nobs
9 warbikers
5 trukks
3 deff koptas
1 BW.

those are the models i can work with, clearly i run a speed freaks setup, and havent thought much of a green tide. so far my list looks like this:

warboss, twin shoota, PK, BP, eavy armor, cybork, squig = 160
zogwort =145
10 nobs, 4 w/ BC, 1 w/ PK, 1 w/ banner, 1 w/BP, 1 painboy, all w/ cybork and eavy =395
20 shoota boys, 2 w/ big shoota nob with BP, Pk=170
30 boys 1 w/ big shoota nob w/ pk/bp =225
30 boys 1 w/ big shoota, nob w/ pk/bp =225
=1320

i have 680 pts left over and im not sure what to do with them. i could bring along my nob bikers, maybe the koptas, but i think trukks and the BW would be getting away from the green tide theme. any suggestions?

you foot slogging everything or are you taking something to deliver the 10 nobs and warboss into the heart of the fight where they are going to do the most damage?

might not keep to the greentide for this one unit but a battle wagon is usually good for that purpose.

Take 12 burna boys, in a truck, very much fun to run in and template units to death. or charge those unwary termies with 36 power weapon attacks xD also id suggest getting some lootas, some might disagree but i think lootas are extremly useful.

normally i would agree with the burnas or lootas options. unfotunitly i dosent have the models to field either unit, and im unable to purchase some before the game. throwing the nobs in a trukk or BW does seem like an option. im thinking of adding a deff rolla equiped BW just for fun, and to maybe provide some range support. what about bikers? do they make sense in this list or are they too speed freaky? (i LOVES my nob bikers they make tanks go boom)

yep nob bikers, each individually armed, with a painboy, and a warbike warboxx with power claw, give 5 bikers big choppers and 3 power claws then tool them up with diff equip (ammo runt, etc) for wound allocation.

5 big choppas, 3 power claws, pain boy, warboss with power claw.
