As you've probably guessed from my signature, I don't like metal models-AT ALL. Well, I say that, some of the small character models are fine....It's the big monsters that shouldn't be metal. Here are some models I think should be plastic-feel free to add your own.

Hive Tyrant.

Chaos Dreadnought.

Furioso Dreadnought.

Zoanthrope (Why on earth was something that top heavy made out of metal?).

Talos.

Skorcha.

The Greater Daemons (This would also give the oppertunity to redesign the Great Unclean One and Keeper of Secrets).

Like I say, if you have any more suggestions, post away.

Im fairly happy with the progress GW is making with the metal-to-plastic models in the 40k line. It doesn't matter that much to me. If they're going to charge you the same price for plastic then they did for the metal minis, I'll take the ones that Archeologists will dig out of my house a thousand years from now and think "Lol, dork"

I have always been frusterated with a lot of the old Fantasy dragon mounted characters though. Just about anyone riding a dragon is pretty much gauranteed to take a dive at least once a fight when the table gets bumped

I think there should be no metal at all, plastic is so much better IMO

I would love to see a plastic Autarch kit. Nothing wrong with the metal ones, I love mine, but it'd be nice to do a multi-part plastic kit for all armies.

So, by that reckoning, we'd also need a Necron Lord, Canoness, Inquisitor, Archaon, and warboss

Looking for fun articles on painting, tactics and wargaming? Are you after a new regular blog to follow? Are you a bit bored with nothing better to do?

If the answer to any of the above is 'well, I guess' you could probably do worse than read my blog! Regular wargaming posts, painting and discussions

I'll second that and be a little more specific.

Plastic Battle Sister squad with 10 girls and options for all special weapons (up to 4 of each for Dominions) and Sister Superior. That woudl save SoB players like 30 to 40 dollars for each sqaud rigth there.

Plastic Retributors in the same vein as Devastators or failing that additions for 4 heavy weapons in the main Battle Sister kit. It could be an easy sprue to add.

Plastic Seraphim with all options

Add a plastic Canoness too and we are set.

Honour Guard squad.

Hive Tyrant (too many options for a metal set!)

Tau Pathfinders (how can a team of scouts be made of metal?)

Grey knights.

Grey knight terminators (50 euros for a 5 figure set is a no-no. It should be 35 - 40)

The following are in need
Sisters of battle : Most models need a update and to become plastic
Necrons : A plastic lord with most options , destroyers with heavy options as part of the kit.
Daemons : Greater daemons and plastic hearlds.
CSM : Plastic Havocs , dreads , 1ksons , noise marines , plauge marines and bezerkers.
Tyranids : Hive Tyrant , Prime.
Orks : Warboss.
Grey knights : Most models need an update and to become plastic.

Note i see little point to do Dark eldar till they come out.

Sisters of Battle. Ideally I'd like to see everything I mentioned in this thread, but frankly I'd be happy with just a 10 girl Battle Sister squad to tide me over.

Tau Pathfinders don't really bother me. At least they're all-metal.

But my list:

Shield Drones*
Broadsides*
Battlesuit Commander*
Thousand Sons*
Zoanthropes
Thunderfire Cannon
Plaguebearers

* currently hybrid kits, and therefore likely to eventually be replaced by plastic kits

There are a number of metal kits that piss me off to no end, but I understand they wouldn't be nearly as nice-looking in plastic... like Flamers of Tzeentch. Those fiddly little arm sockets are horrible for those end-heavy arms... but a plastic Flamers kit would take away a lot of the cool detail that makes them unique. Kind of like how the new Pink Horrors look a lot more uniform (and boring) than the old ones.

/agree. Alot of the old CSM models are in desperate need of a facelift. Not quite on the same level as say DE or the Eldar aspects, but close

You right about the Aspect warriors , the warp spider models are horrible and the DE

If they made plastic Sisters of Battle I would collect an army, but I won't so long as the basic troops are metal. Not at GW's inflated prices.

Sisters of Battle and Gray Knights are in desperate need of plastic kits.

And until the SoB get plastic kits I will refuse to start a SoB army.
