In the current codex, the cannoness can take whatever she wants from the armoury, but there's really no way to represent some of the options.

Do you think GW might make a plastic kit sort of like the SM commander or the chaos terminator lord? They seem to be doing this with a lot of HQ's lately.

I hope so-- it would make MUCH more sense (it would also make more sense for her to become WS5, given that she has primarily close combat equipment)... but I doubt it will happen.

But then, GW has done weirder things.

Yes. They do that with any sort of codex update now. Metal is really only good for named characters, who are only in one army. Other than that, plastic is cheaper and has MANY more options. Metal is stupid to use if your making unnamed characters with any sort of options.

A lot? Any other except SM and CSM?
Anyway, don't think they will waste one plastic slot for this, too many other things need plastics in this almost all metal range.

IG, Orks, (Orks actually dont HAVE a warboss kit, but its orks, their kits are all plastic, so conversions is not a problem), and Nids (I think, isnt it really just a version of a current plastic model?).

Right, Guard have two separate plastic Command Squad kits. Not sure about the Hive Tyrant.

The hive tyrant is simple to convert. It comes with all of its options.

And also, Gw's been doing it with other stuff too. Like, the new DP. I think the new mounted warboss for fantasy is a good example also. Or dreadnoughts.

Why would you even take a bolt pistol on a cannoness but nothing else? Take something cool, like a plasma pistol and a chainfist

Because plasma pistols cost points that could end up killing the Canoness.

And Canonesses can't have chainfists, unless you've heard some rumor that I haven't.

Never mind Yeah, I agree they should be at least 5+ WS. They're an HQ choice, for gosh sakes.

NO! Shes a sissy womenz and not know hoto foight!

In my opinion, the Commander should only ever be +1 Weapon Skill from the Average trooper (And I don't see Battle Sisters matching up to Astartes in that regard). But hey, a Lord Commissar has decent WS, why not the Canoness?

I'd like to see the following:

1. Basic Sisters of Battle kit. Makes a squad of 10 Battle Sisters with bits for the standard options.

1a. Guns sprue. Enough special and heavy weapons to convert the Sisters of Battle kit into 5 Dominions and 5 Retributors. Or split these into two sprues, if you like.

1b. Bling sprue. Enough fancy helmets, guns and other equipment to convert the Sisters of Battle kit into a Canoness and 9 Celestians / Veteran Sister Superiors. Maybe throw in some Sister Hospitaller bits too.

2. Seraphim kit. Makes a squad of 5-10 Seraphim.

3. Sprues to create plastic Immolators, Repressors and Exorcists. If we're keeping the Pipe Organ of MLRS Doom look, make it work as a standalone terrain piece too, and you'll be able to sell more sprues.

Immolator is plastic.. I agree to all the other thing's you said though. It would be good if the Exorcist was plastic, but still the same design it is now, not like the crappy Forgeworld Whirlwind abortion

I use Reaper mini's for my canoness. The sister's of the blade characters specifically. With power packs. And eviscerators.

As you say: Orks don't have a warboss plastic kit, neither have Tyranids a plastic HQ. The Hive Tyrant is full metal and doesn't include all options (just one sword). The Tyranid warriors don't have swords at all, even if it is now one of the best options. Not to speak of the Tervigon HQ.

I know, I was just thinking about the trend towards making a single kit for multiple vehicles.

I don't mind the Whirlwind-style turret to represent an Exorcist, but IMO it really needs the Immolator top section to look like a proper SoB vehicle.

4. A Repentia sprue where the Repentia wear actual clothes, that could pull double duty for converted Novices, off-duty Battle Sisters or Sisters Dialogus/Famulous/Hospitaller.

Celestians are actually BETTER than Astartes when it comes to close combat skill. WS4 + Holy Hatred is greater than just WS4. Which makes the Canoness' WS4 look even worse.

Personally I MUCH prefer the Forgeworld version to the GW version. Not only is it much cheaper to buy, there's less questions about where exactly the missiles come out of and where you have to draw line of sight from/measure from

Yes, we all agree with you Repressors aren't real, exorcists can be made from a whirlwind and immolators are already plastic.

Heresy! Repressors are awesome and should be put into the next codex as the primary SoB transport.

WS5 eh? Well then my necron lord who has been around for 60 million years, and has more combat experience than an entire chapter probably should have WS/BS a wee bit higher than 4....

Oh yeah and those star gods who've been around since the big bang should probably be a bit better than 6/4 and 5/3

But back on topic, if they finally made any plastic SOB kits I could finally start playing them!

It sucks how when they decide to switch to plastics to make things cheaper its the time when plastic is going up too.

Even if it's no less expensive, it's easier to paint and assemble and there's more options. So I don't mind.

Even if the plastic box of 10 were 50 dollars (I'd still buy them too) it would still be cheaper than collecting them now as I'm sure you know. A squad of 10 with a Rhino costs around 120 dollars US since you have to buy all the special and heavy weapons individually as well as the Sister Superior who has numerous options. I'd drop 85 per squad (less with some store discounts) if I could on plastic.

Honestly, it's really not that bad. Dunno why everyone complains about the cost.

37$ gets you 10 space marines (CSM in my case)
42$ gets you 10 Sisters

The models look good, they're impressive on the table, are easier to strip, easier to put together (1 piece, yay) and show quality in the painter better.

But plastic would still be better I agree that the superior is far too difficult to model without spending a ton. I've seen people just use a space marine as their superior/cannoness, simply because they're WYSIWYG.

Since when? A blister of 3 Sisters costs $17.25. Assuming you only want bolter Sisters, no special weapons, and you somehow manage to pay a third of the cost for a single Sister (i.e. buy three blisters and one individual Sister somehow) that's $57.50.

If you want to actually kit them out, it's more, since they're $14 for a single Sister with a HF or MM, $9.90 for a Sister with a meltagun or flamer, and $13.25 for a Sister with a Imagifier.

I want to know where you're magicking up 10 Sisters for $42.

Probably has something to do with the Battle Sister Squad pack which doesn't exist anymore.

That's right, GW doesn't sell the "7 bolters, 1 flamer, 1 storm bolter, 1 VSS" box set anymore.
