No, this isn't the movie this is about the cartoon.

Who here has watched the series? i've honestly seen all the episodes like 5 times over. This thread is dedicated of your favourite things about the series, why you like it, favourite character etc. Honestly, this show.. we'll is amazing, not only that it shows awesome character development throughout the series (Zuko ftw!) but.. argh its hard to explain, the soundtrack is brilliant and all ages could watch this show. If you haven't seen it yet and enjoy Americanized anime (yet, it.. still has strong Chinese roots) i would definitely recommend watching this. Anyway, tell me what you think about the show, personally my favourite character would be Iroh, so awesome.

I love the series, and I'm really looking forwards to the new Avatar series.

My favourite character is also Iroh, mainly because of the epic training montage whilst he was in prison, where he ended up doing one armed pull ups on the roof of his cage, whilst eating with the other hand

The Series is probably one of the best pieces of American animation in years. I haven't enjoyed an American made cartoon that much since the Batman Animated Series. I liked Iroh, but Zuko was one of the jewels of that series with his character development. Toph was a rather brilliant character herself.

I look forward to the spin off they're working on.

Loved it. Iroh ws my favorite character, but I also enjoyed Bumi (spelling?) and Azula.

Awesome show. It's a great background with very creative twists. My favorite character has to be Momo or Avatar Roku. I didn't know that they where making a spin off? I hope it does the originals justice.

Also I've always thought it would be cool to be an Earth Bender.

The spin off is called the legend of korra, more information is here http://avatar.wikia.com/wiki/Avatar:_Legend_of_Korra it looks pretty promising. I saw these videos describing what each element was in the form of martial arts. Earth bending is Hung Gar, Fire bending is Northern Shaolin Kung Fu (me ), Water bending is Tai Chi & air bending is Ba Gua.

Seen every episode repeatedly too, hard not to rewatch them considering how amazingly good the series is. The amount of effort put into the martial styles is amazing, Toph using a completely different style to the other earth benders to keep her feet on the ground was such a well thought out touch.

I also don't recall crying watching a cartoon before, but damnit Iroh's song for his sons birthday..

Agreed, it is the best animated series made in a long time. My favorite character is also Iroh, such a deep character.

One of my favorite series. I wish all American animation had such amazing storylines and animation.

It's quite difficult to find a character I like since pretty much all of them are awesome. Perhaps Iroh or Toph or that old lady that taught Katara bloodbending. She was badass.

I'm also going to add a character I like. That crazy old Earthbending King who was a childhood friend of Aang

ahaha, yeah king boomi is awesome, sparky sparky boom man is freaking insane. i mean... laser eye ftw.

Iroh was always my favorite as well as Appa.
Azula was also a good one. Her descent into madness was well played.

Probably my most favorite character was the Cabbage Vendor.

Ah yes, the Cabbage guy, he was awesome.

One thing I really liked about the show was that its characters, magical abilities notwithstanding, were very human, flawed and you could actually relate to them, especially Zuko, Azula and Aang.

I watched it for a while, but it didn't really hold my interest with the whole chinese influence. Now, I like me some (non-wire) Jackie Chan or Jet Lee movies, but for some reason this didn't stick with me.

I.... I did not see that coming. I might have to look into it agian with a new perspective.

Edit: About the only part I really remember is this part where they are trying to force Aang into the Avatar State, give him caffein, and he is literally bouncing off the walls because of it.
