WHF Just got n it's feet, and it's a stretch to even say that. What's more, Forgeworld Typically doesn't update models of things that Citadel already currently produces. No, WHF will focus on making new and unusual things that don;t necessarily exist in current product lines already.

Think of WHF doing big monsters and special units for an apoc fantasy game.

Well it is sad to see no Lizards so far but they will come eventually and personally I'm even happier having the Chaos Dwarfs for now
The Lizardmen will be amazing when it gets to them, and with the fact they occasionally add models like that Dragon which aren't in the storyline, we never know when the Lizards will get stuff, maybe thay'll even have something in the first wave, we can't know for sure yet

I'm pretty surprised at the chaos dwarves. I thought they were going the way of the squats never to return. I'm glad they're back. Although I would hate to think what they will cost if you have to get everything through forge world. What would be even worse is if they're never an 'official' army having rules only through FW. Time will tell I suppose.

Most of the new Forge stuff is either chaos dwarfs or nurgle chaos, which is totally cool and IMO has FW playing to its strengths from the 40k lines - ramshackle-but-totally-sweet ork vehicles or stonking-huge guard artillery / tanks, and nurgle chaos
Also on the subject of nurgle I hope these critters inspire more people to pick up the diseased mantle and give Green a try. I'm consistently shocked at how many WoC players in 8th instantly dropped their allegiances and either play their nurgle boys as tizzers / kr0ners or made all new Blue / Red guys. Is the mark of nurgle overcosted? Yes, by about 10 points. Did it get unfortunately nerfed by the FAQ? Yes, indeed it did. Are warriors still pretty wicked regardless of mark? Yes, in fact they are. But I digress.
Forge can only be a cool thing, and I say bring on the big monsters

I hope they do the big beastmen monsters, there are three really cool creatures with no official model, I'd love to see what they can do with the jabberslythe idea, something so hideous and terrible that even to look at it is to go hopelessly insane, to the point they can't even include a picture of it in the armybook.

I don't think we need any of this stuff, its the sort of thing that modellers should be building themselves there are already loads of far cheaper models and toys out there that can be converted or scratch build if you have the time.
Also there's too much technology - land ship? not for empire, leave this for the dwarfs (i think it would be better if empire had never had gunpowder) and the siege mortar is modelled on 20Th century ordinance-even the trailer is too modern looking.

Actually, the Landship?
It's in the rulebook's artwork for the Empire. And that landship is tiny compared to some of the ones illustrated.

Fair point, but not all of us have the time - and at least we should have the choice to buy it OR build it.

Sorry, but I was at GDUK this year and spoke to Rick Priestley (the writer & compiler/designer of the new warhammer forge book) - he told me there were catergorically NO PLANS to resurrect Chaos dwarves in the main games workshop product range. There's no room for them.
The Chaos dwarves are basically destined to be the fantasy equivalent of forgeworld's DKK imperial guard. The reason being releasing DKK plastics through the main GW range would devalue and undermine the investment made in forgeworld. Chaos dwarfs will be no different for warhammer forge. Plus the retail figures were never that high and only a hard-core of gamers liked the chaos dwarves.
Strangely enough up until 18 months ago it was highly likely that Dark Eldar were destined to go the same way.....it was a VERY tough call apparently and only the advances in plastics GW have made saved them.
Sorry to bear bad news buddy.
