So as a test-run for building my own Warlord Titan, I want to build an Ork Gargant/Looted Titan. I'm thinking about building it like a Warlord, or possibly a Reaver, that's been Ork-ified, or as Ork players would say, "improved." Any suggestions on this? Or conversly, should I just build an Ork Gargant? The trouble is that I don't like the giant maternity dress look of the Stompas and Gargants, so I'd want to make it have relatively the same body shape as an Imperial titan, (which honestly looks more Ork-like than it human). If you've seen any really good ones like this online I'd love to see them.
My other idea is a little more far-out. I want to build an Ork Voltron, with 5 giant mechanical boars instead of lions, that each count as a Deff Dread on their own. I'm torn on whether I want to scratch-build them or go off an existing Voltron or Transformers toy. Ambitioius? Maybe... but I've done ambitious before and it all came out pretty well. Plus, I think the comedic value of it would be unmatched. Anyway, I welcome thoughts, ideas, especially pictures and suggestions, and pretty much anything but flaming. Thanks Dakka-ites.

THe voltron idea is excellent, very orky. I however would take a different tack - instead of using boars as you mentioned, I'd just fashion the titan out of individual scrapped vehicles - tanks presumably. Just my thoughts

Hmm, that might work even better. Kind of like Devastator from the Transformers.

You could start with the Warlord pattern here:

Then ork it up with Glyphs etc.

That was my second thought, after I started thinking of the -other- Voltron (Vehicle Team)

perhaps a Battlewagon main body, with dreds and truks for legs, and then choppas and more trukks for arms..

"An I'll form da 'ead!"

Sounds awesome and ambitious. Almost the equal of the battlewagon-to-Optimus Prime I saw first here on dakka. Definitely subscribed if you plan on going through with it. I'd probably go with vehicle team Voltron over lion team, although the idea of mechanical boars is great. Good luck!

What harm can it do to find out? It's a question that left bruises down the centuries, even more than "It can't hurt if I only take one" and "It's all right if you only do it standing up." Terry Pratchett, Making Money

"Can a magician kill a man by magic?" Lord Wellington asked Strange. Strange frowned. He seemed to dislike the question. "I suppose a magician might," he admitted, "but a gentleman never could." Susanna Clarke Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell

I've had the idea for an Ork Gesalt for awhile now, it will end up being alot of work. My plan was to do sevearal tanks/mechs for the various parts, mostly battlewagons as the limbs for their bulk, and a Dread for the head.
