For me, it's the Thousand Sons, and not just because I collect them

I've always been intrigued by their background, and the way that even by the standards of some of the traitor legions they didn't intend to fall. In particular Graham McNeil's 'A Thousand Sons' got me fired up to finish my army, with its exploration of the intricacies behind the Thousand Sons. Plus, of course, the end, where
Spoiler:
even after having the Wolves unleashed on them, Ahriman is still determined to prove to the Emperor that they're still loyal and did the right thing.

Sure, the others interest me. But none as much as the boys in blue and gold

I love the word bearers personally.

After the "Dark" series I really came to appreciate the way the legion actually thinks and acts

I think Death Guard are the best simply because of their alliegance to Nurgle. I also like their colour scheme and how they appear to be covered in diseases but live on despite this. Some of their background is pretty cool too.

I've always liked the Iron Warriors. I've never been a fan of including demons on a Chaos army and their outlook matched mine. I like the colour scheme, too. A little bland, but deadbeat easy.

An ellipsis you say …

Thousand Sons. To the point that I'm starting a themed Thousand Sons army as soon as my wallet stops crying and yelling "Please, no more kicking!"

Which, with the advent of the new DE, may be a while.

^^^^ Nothing wrong with Ultramarines duder.

I voted Iron Warriors. Caution stripes are pretty pimp, and siege warfare is as brutal and dirty as anything in 40k.

Another vote for the Thousand Sons here. Out of all the Chaos legions I find their backstory the most compelling and it doesn't hurt that the models look great.

Shame their codex entry isn't so good but that won't stop me using an army of them.

I also quite like the Emperor's Children, Iron Warriors and Word Bearers.

World Eaters.

While other legions mess around with sorcery, sonic weapons, trying to sneak around or vomit everywhere, World Eaters just get stuck in with their chainswords.

Ha, there is no loyalty amongst the trairors. Any naive hope has utterly been shattered and replaced by seething hatred. I find it fascinating that TS fans try to justify Magnus' direct disobedience as a show of loyalty rather than the brazen arrogance it was. Tzeentch played him like a fiddle- it's what he does. And even used the Space Wolves to get the point across. Not to disparage the legion- what's not to love about half mad sorcerors delving into secrets no mortal mind should know and commanding a cadre of soulless walking death machines? Plus, they did kill Eldrad (OR DID THEY?).

I am fond of the Emperor's Children. As a legion, utterly without morality and dedicated only to the sensations that can stimulate them out of their increasingly jaded insanity. Sex, drugs, and violence to them are like bland milk. Kind of like the original RT psych surgeried chem marines but taken to an extreme. Perfection, indeed! I do hate the HH explanation for Fulgrim's fall. I much prefer his obsessions with performance and perfection leading him to feel betrayed by the Emperor's mortal failings in the face of a god to the whole possesses by a daemonsword crap.

Word bearers are also quite cool and, to me, more iconic Chaos marines than the Black Legion. These guys truly believe and will convert or destroy the heretics.

Gotta love Iron Legion, they are the gears of Chaos that grind you down, but a bit lacking in personality.

Death Guard is great fun to model and paint, but also kind of bland. And they didn't really even want to follow Big Pappa.

Night Lords. Emo batman wannabees. No thanks.

Alpha Legion. A little to sneaky for their own good, but not as crafty as Tzeentch disciples. Pretty meh, but the pro cultist stance is good.

And World Eaters. Definitely the low end of the intellect pool, and easilly entertained with a few skulls, but you gotta love the ultra violence. And the dedication!

I chose Iron Warriors because I have always liked the idea of an army of super soldiers that specialize in siege warfare, also there colour scheme and legion symbol are awesome.

I'm highly partial to the Night Lords. I love their color scheme, and I enjoy the fact that their whole deal is that they're just downright scary bastards.
