Why is it, that every time I want a good old game of Alines v Predator, there are about 12 poeple online? I happen to think, it has some of the best online content. Leaping from tree top to tree top, stalking your prey, pouncing from the shadows to casually rip a marines head off, then leap back to the canopy. You can even do well as a marine and its still scary online, the tension awsome.

I bought it...I certainly thing it's got some of the funnest missions (infestation that actually makes sense!) and feel for multiplayer. I don't know why hardly anyone is ever on. Maybe the problem with connection? That has happened in a few of the games I've joined.

I got it, but hardly ever play it, since I grew tired of the matchmaking system.

To earn exp you have to play in the matchmaking mode, and I often got thrown into games with a ping of 300 or more, and that's NOT a good gaming experience
And quite often the serverhost disconnects, causing the game to end and just piss you off..

They promised to make a serverbrowser when they relesed the game, and they have..
A hardly working crap serverbrowser, with no abilty to play ranked games.
You wanna be able to play ranked games in a community where you can get to learn people and play with them multiple times..
Not being forced to play with russian 10-year olds who spam the mic while waiting, spending the lobby-time muting every high-pitching screamer or music playing gakker, and then when the game finally is on you get disconnected after 2 mins cause the designated server-runner is a sore looser..

This is what made me quit the game.. Loved the game itself, though this procedure over and over again everytime I wanted to play, made me wanna bash some faces

Yeah, the lobby system did make me cringe a bit.

They should'v based it on AVP2, that game rocked.

I always seem to do well in all classes, marines rock if you know how to use them. Aliens are deadly realy hard to get the hang of though and as for predators, well, they are just awsome.

God awful? It got pretty mixed reviews, actually, with most being around 60-70%.
Not only that, but it was the fastest-selling game of 2010 in the UK at the time of it's release, and was also the best-selling game on Steam.

Opinions are not facts.

Without explanation your assertions are meaningless. With explanation, they will probably turn out to be merely opinions or mistaken beliefs.

Yup AVP failed because its gak interface and support its a shame because the game its self is really good.

And reviews are what make a game good.

Wait what?

The game was utter gak, the campaigns sucked, the multplayer is unbalanced and stupid, and it lacks all round content.

No, but as Metacritic are formed of hundreds of reviews, I think that it counts more of a fact than:
"LOL IT SUKS" from the haters who have limited debating skills.

Which campaign? The Alien Campaign and the Marine Campaign were awesome; and whilst the Predator one lacked a little, it was still good and different from what's availible.

The multiplayer is unbalanced? How so? Because I've never seen any such 'unbalance' in the games I've played. Perhaps you just suck at it.

Personally I found the campaigns entertaining enough, and I never played the game online. I wouldn't pay full price for it again but I would rent it or buy it for cheap.

Cozy cockpit of an Archer ARC-5S

Having paid to play it I can say it is not as great as people will make it out to be. Clichés abound and not a whole new stuff added to the mix. Bland. Mediocre. Boring.

As of this posting, it has a metacritic score of 64. That's pretty bad.

Is that a fair score? Maybe? I haven't played the game, so I won't judge. But, it is a low enough score to scare off many gamers (myself included), which is why the multiplayer is so depopulated.

I LOVED this game, fething number 2 best game ive ever done! WAY BETTER THEN HALO REACH! Doesnt even compare...

I used to play as much a sI could but It got fething stupid when I could only play 4 matches in an hour becasue half of them were hosted by some terribad player, who upon someone killing him would n3rdrage3 on the mike and quit. Just when I was having a good time, and now restart the 10 minute long wait for a match....

By far a very good game with only minor flaws, there is a predator limit for a reason......

I <3 this game, but it died.

Don't due boredome its a mass murderer!

I have to say Ive got to disagree with the people saying it was unbalanced, I do admit it does take some getting used to, especially the alien. But once you get the hang of it, its a great, totaly balanced game.

Its a useless tactic, when your fighting marines or predators, they will know where you are straight away. Marines are actually quite skilled in CC aswell I've managed to fend off a good amount of enemies that way.

tail isn't CC, and say that to any level with narrow passage ways and lots of corners, like that one inside the temple thingy...

Anyway, It's a really cheap way to own noobs.

I just blast them off the ceiling, or if im a predator I just sprint down the corridor leap into the air and knock the bugger off then hes useless

Forever alone

I have to say, I think they really rushed it. The dialogue in the campaign went from 'So Bad It's Good' to 'So Bad It's Horrible'.

"WAS THAT MOVEMENT?"
"AAHWOAAHWAA"
"LOOKS LIKE THERE'S NOTHING HERE." (while standing over a headless corpse!)

Had a nice cinematic feel to it, but I wish they'd worked harder on it. Playing as a Predator was tons of fun and the androids were fun to fight as anything but the Marine.

People are like dice, a certain Frenchman said that. You throw yourself in the direction of your own choosing. People are free because they can do that. Everyone's circumstances are different, but no matter how small the choice, at the very least, you can throw yourself. It's not chance or fate. It's the choice you made.
