Howdy all,
So Wednesday me and a couple guys got up to my
FLGS to get in a quick game before I head to North Carolina for some military training stuffs for a while. It was supposed to be me vs orcs, but my buddy brought his friend so they teamed up. Heres the lowdown on the lists:

We decided to keep it easy and play mission 1. We had a regenerating marsh, an idol that gives 2 extra power dice to any player that rolls a 6 on a dice within 6" during the magic phase, a poisoned forest, and a few miscellaneous pieces of terrain. I finished deploying first and won the roll to go first (after tying a roll of a 5, a 2, and then rolling a 5 again (+1)). I wish I had that army map program

Deployment was as follows: on my side gyro hiding on my left behind a building, with my two large blocks to the right of it. My thrower and 1 cannon took up positions behind my large blocks to prevent the skinks from pwning them. My organ gun set up in the middle on a hill, while my longbeards took up the flank to the right of it facing to my right (in case skinks tried something fishy). My last cannon I set up in the far right corner to draw some attention away from my lines.
My opponents deployed 2 squads of riders side by side on my left, with the large skinks unit w/
HQ next to them. The large orc blob set up across from my ironbreakers. The second skink squad and kroxigors took up the middle, with the last 3 squads of wolf riders on my far right, facing down my cannon.
I put my
BSB with the warriors, lord/runesmith with my breakers. Scouts saw the skinks set up to take down my organ gun and my cannon, the last skinks unit set up in my poison forest to attack my copter. My rangers set up to try and get a T1 charge and save my cannon!
Turn 1 Me

Charges - Declared the charge on the skinks that set up across from my cannon... and came up 2" short.
Movement - my two large blocks marched forward. My longbeards pivoted 2" and moved up 4", setting up to charge the unit of camos targeting my organ gun. My copter roared forward, setting up for a large flamer template on the skinks in the forest.
Shooting - Grudgethrower misfires, but rolls a 5 (whew!). My right side cannon shoots and takes down 1 kroxigor and rolls a 1 for wounds on the second (it hit 2). My organ gun rolls 8 shots, woot! It takes down 4 camo skinks. My other cannon downs 3 black orcs. My gyro hits 8/10 camos in the forest, but rolls bad for wounds, killing 4. Everything holds.
Turn 1 Them

Charges - None
Movement - All the wolf riders move foward max movement (he wanted to shoot his bows). Skinks do the same. Camos move up max to get some doubletap action on my guns. Orcs march foward, but due to a large piece of terrain, have to navigate around it.
Magic - He attempts to cast chain lightning, targeting my ironbreakers. Luckily I dispel it (throwing 7 dispel dice at it
lol!). He successfully casts the spell that allows rerolls of 1's on his camos in the forest.
Shooting - Camos in the forest doubletap my gyro! He rolls well, doing 4 poisoned wounds... but I roll hot, saving them all! Middle camos doubletap my organ gun, doing 2 poisoned wounds. I save 1. On my right side the camos do like 7 wounds to my cannon... I lose it
lol. 20 shots is painful! Orc bows fail to do squat.
Turn 2 me

Charges - Rangers into the camos, my longbeards into the middle camos. Both units make it by a long shot. Both camo units stand and shoot. My rangers lose 3, longbeards lose 3 as well.
Movement - my warriors and ironbreakers only move up 3". I'm playing it safe, I want to charge the orcs, not get charged! Gyro repositions next to the normal skinks on my far left... flamertime!
Shooting - Organ gun rolls hot again, rolling an 8 on its reroll! It takes out 3 skinks from his
HQ unit. Stonethrower lobs at the middle skinks unit. The
HQ detached to fly last turn... the stonethrower hits! Hitting the
HQ and 2 skinks. It rolls hot, killing the
HQ (3 wounds) and both skinks! Go thrower! Cannon takes out another 3 orcs. Now heres the fun part

My flamer template is able to hit the ENTIRE left skinks unit. They were lined up very nicely! I manage to kill 6 of the lowly critters! Everything holds, however.
Close-combat - Pewpew! My longbeards kill the entire middle camo unit, losing 1 in the process. They overrun into another normal skink unit! Stand-and-shooting sees 2 more longbeards to the grave. The ranger unit loses 3 (remember, theres 10 skinks left!), but kills 7 in return. The skinks fall back, and I choose to reform instead of chasing them, readying for the (many) wolf units coming!
Turn 2 Them

Charges - 2 wolf units declare a charge on my gyro, one in back and one in front :( Yikes! Kroxigors declare a charge on the longbeards already stuck in combat from their overrun... :( Everything makes it
Movement - The last wolf unit on my left moves up some, around the forest. The camo skinks in the forest reposition on my warrior units flank to shoot. The greatly depleted skink unit w/ hero moves back behind the gyro
CC. The black orcs set up to accept the ironbreakers charge, and the last skinks unit moves out of the way of the orcs. The retreating skinks rally, all the rest of the wolf units move up 8" to shoot again (he was still wary about trying to charge as he was 17" away still)
Magic - He casts some spell that makes my longbeards reroll 6's, and I dispel his reroll 1's spell.
Shooting - Orc bows... fail
lol. The rallied skinks on my right kill 1 ranger. The half strength camos in the forest shoot my warriors, wounding 5 times! After saves and my ward I only lose 1 >
Close Combat - This is gonna hurt! The wolf riders that charged my gyro wind up and swing!.... and only manage to put 2 wounds on it. Which I save :O The angry gyro pummels one rider off his mount. Due to all the charging bonuses and his banner, however, I still lose combat by 4.... but I hold rolling a 1 and a 2! Whew, close one! The large kroxigor scrum sees the combined might of the skinks and krox (combined with me having to reroll my 6+ armor saves :( ) sees me losing 6 models... I'm down to 11 dudes, I need a miracle! My dwarves, full of dwarven fury, wind up... and kill 1 kroxigor, putting 2 wounds on a second and 3 skinks! Thats right, 11 attacks = 10 hits = 7 wounds

With my banner I win by 2, the skinks hold, but the kroxigors hoof it!
Turn 3 me

Charges - Nows the time to take down those damn orcs that are taunting me! I warm up my dice, declaring a charge (10"

to the orcs and the riders stuck in combat with my gyro with my warriors... The ironbreakers fail, rolling a 5, and the warriors also fail, rolling a 6. :(
Movement - My rangers move around a little, aiming to throw their axes at the 3 remaining camo skinks
Shooting - Organgun kills 1 more kroxigor, taking the unit down to 3 models. The cannon downs 3 more orcs. The thrower also takes down 3 more orcs. The orc units looking very depleted, only about 12 models left on the unit. Rangers toss their axes into the camos faces, killing 2... 1 left, damnit!
Close combat - Gyro combat sees 3 wounds delt, and I save 2! Gogo combat copter! I knock 1 more wolf down. I hold. Longbeards lose nothing, and chop apart the skinks. They overrun into the kroxigors!
Turn 3 them

Charges - Now is the time! The orcs charge my ironbreakers, and 2 wolf squads charge my rangers. My rangers stand and shoot, knocking down 2 riders from one unit (they hold).
Movement - with only 1 camo unit, 1 wolf unit, and 1 skink unit unengaged, not much to do! The skinks move toward my organ gun to doubletap it with hopes a lot of poison wounds get through. The second heavily depleted skinks unit moves back again. The camos hold in the forest, and the last skink on my right flank marches to shoot... something next turn.
Magic - I dispel the reroll 6's power, but he gets off a reroll 1's power on his large standing skink unit.
Shooting - The large skink unit pumps 20 shots into my organ gun... doing 2 wounds to it with poisons :/ I need to make 1 save to leave it with 1 wound... and I do! The large camo unit knocks down 1 more warrior.
Close combat - Gyrocopter takes 1 wound, and knocks a third rider down... 1 wound left and hes still sticking it to em! I hold. The kroxigors roll very well, killing 4 or 5 longbeards, leaving me with 7 models. I swing back, managing to beat him by 1 wound (3's to hit and 2's to wound rocks!). He needs a 5 on 3 dice to hold... and rolls 3 3's! I manage to roll really well, taking down the kroxigors in a flurry of axes. My scouts take a pummeling, losing 6 models. But I swing back, doing a total of 9 wounds! 4 on the left squad of 3, 5 on the full 5 squad. He makes 1 save... and I run them down.
The final bastion of hope lies on the orc and ironbreakers scrum! with hatred and a ton of pummelly goodness, this could go either way... He issues a challange with his named
HQ and my lord accepts it! With him needing 3's to hit, 4's to wound, and me with a 3+/4++ at all times, it should be easy to win! He swings in... doing 6 hits, and 3 wounds. I save them all! I swing in... I do 3 hits, and 1 wound... he saves. Yeash. The orcs let loose with their
str 5 choppas and take down 3 ironbreakers. But due to them using choppas, I swing in HARD... needing 3's to hit and 4's to wound on 5+ save orcs. I take down 6.
At this point my opponents concede. Theres no way from them to even remotely make a come back, having only wiped out my cannon and half of 2 squads, with them only having 2 full rider squads, 1 skink squad, and a few camos.
WIN FOR THE DWARVES!
Please note some things may be a little off, and we were all using a lot of proxies. I was testing a few of my ideas as I'm slowly building an army!
