Fairly standard list....
Just three things though. Why the Captain, you'd be better of with a HQ choice that gives the army some benefit, either a Chaplin or another Libraian. Why are you takeing Gate of Infinity? Your only real CC choice already has a Dedicated transport. And finally, Vindicators really need to be taken in pairs to be effective.

I have a few questions on what otherwise looks pretty solid.
Why a combi-melta in the flamer tac squad. Now you have to fire both your tac squads to have a decent chance of taking out 1 vehicle and wasting the fire all of all the other guys and the flamer. Why? Put both the combi-melta and the melta in the same squad that way that squad actually has a decent chance of busting open that tank. I'd also advise a combi-flamer on the flamer unit as, just like with any opther special weapon, 1 flamer is rarely enough. That is a far better spend of 10 points than the seige shield.
I think Lysander would do a much better job than your captain for just 30 points more. But either way Cassius or a Libby would be a better fit than a captain. Given your Libby I'd take cassius. I'd consider Avenger rather than Gate for the libby though as gate doesn't really add much since you already have a transport.
On the Assault Terminators why only take a squad of 3 (because the guys with LCs don't count as they are simply wasted points)? Take a squad of 5 same points and 2 extra guys to help out.
Given the rifleman dreads I think you might be better off doubling up on the Vindicator than the preds. But that is presonal preferance.
Also I don't think you need 2 squads of camocloak scouts, one squad should be fine, you'll rarely have 2 objectives that close to your deployment zoen to make the camocloak scouts worhtwhile.

Hmmm, would Vulkan be a good choice instead of the captain? He'd make all of the thunder hammers in the Assault terminators master-crafted. Plus Vulkan rocks. He also has the invulnerable save from his mantle to stand with them, plus the Relic Blade. I will drop gate of infinity for Avenger, and I've considered taking 2 vindicators instead of 2 predators. Now, the reason I have lightning claws in the Assault Terminators is so that some attacks can be made on the charge with high initiative, while allocated wounds can go to the thunder hammers. I'll also switch the combi-melta to the melta squad and perhaps switch the flamer on the other tac squad for a melta as well?

Yes, Vulkan would be an EXCELLENT choice instead of the Captain. That Captain adds almost nothing to the list as it stands right now, and Vulkan has the potential to add quite a bid.
If you go for Vulkan though I have a standard 2k Vulkan list that I've been playing with and I've suggested on this site and Warseer a few times. It's gotten quite a bit of praise:
Vulkan - 190
5 Assault Terminators (Thunder Hammers and Storm Shields) - 200
Dreadnought (Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer, Drop Pod) - 150
Dreadnought (Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer, Drop Pod) - 150
Tactical Squad (Multi-Melta, Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Rhino) - 220
Tactical Squad (Multi-Melta, Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Rhino) - 220
Tactical Squad (Multi-Melta, Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Meltabombs, Drop Pod) - 225
Land Speeder (Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer) - 70
Land Speeder (Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer) - 70
Land Raider (Multi-Melta, Extra Armor) - 275
Vindicator - 115
Vindicator - 115
Total 2,000
Basically the two Dreadnoughts drop in on a flank while the rest of the list rushes up the middle. The Land Raider and Vindicators form a front line of high armor, and the Vindicators draw fire from the Land Raider while the two Rhino squads advance behind them for cover. If you prefer not to run Drop Pods you could mount the 3rd squad in a Rhino instead, drop the Dreadnoughts and pick up either a unit of scouts or another Tactical Squad, then spend the extra points wherever you see fit (Another Land Speeder perhaps). It would look like this:
Vulkan - 190
5 Assault Terminators (Thunder Hammers and Storm Shields) - 200
Tactical Squad (Multi-Melta, Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Rhino) - 220
Tactical Squad (Multi-Melta, Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Rhino) - 220
Tactical Squad (Multi-Melta, Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Rhino) - 220
Tactical Squad (Multi-Melta, Flamer, Combi-Flamer, Rhino) - 215
Land Speeder (Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer) - 70
Land Speeder (Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer) - 70
Land Speeder (Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer) - 70
Land Raider (Multi-Melta, Extra Armor) - 275
Vindicator (Siege Shield) - 125
Vindicator (Siege Shield) - 125
Total 2,000
Either way the main focus of the list is the Death Star formed by the Land Raider, Vulkan and his Terminators, and the Vindicators flanking it. However you support it, that is the primary hitting power of this list.

I'm not a huge fan of Multi-Meltas, and I'd prefer my Dreadnoughts as Riflemen to take out infantry and lightly armoured vehicles. I was planning on forming a deathstar unit using Vulkan, the Terminators, and the Librarian in the Land raider. The vindicator and Predators will advance with the Land raider, the vindicator drawing fire away from the Land Raider, and the Predators taking out any anti-vehicle that could be a threat to Vulkan. The Tactical Squads will find a place to set up and pepper the enemy with Missile shots, as will the scouts with their Snipers and their own Heavy weapons. The meltaguns on the Tactical Squads are for any skimmers that feel like getting close (especially in objective games). I'm aware that my army has little in the way of CC troops, but I prefer a "shooty" army.

Well in that case how about:
Vulkan - 190
5 Assault Terminators (5x TH/SS) - 200
Dedicated Land Raider (Multi-Melta, Extra Armor) - 275
Dreadnought (2x TL Autocannons) - 125
Dreadnought (2x TL Autocannons) - 125
Tactical Squad (Missile Launcher, Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Rhino) - 220
Tactical Squad (Missile Launcher, Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Rhino) - 220
Tactical Squad (Missile Launcher, Meltagun, Combi-Melta, Rhino) - 220
Land Speeder (Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer) - 70
Land Speeder (Multi-Melta, Heavy Flamer) - 70
Vindicator - 115
Predator (AC/HB) - 85
Predator (AC/HB) - 85
Total 2,000
It has the Predators and the Rifleman Dreads, loses the Multi-Meltas from the Tactical Squads in favor of Missile Launchers, keeps the one Vindicator around and still has quite a large emphasis on ranged firepower over close combat, with Vulkan and his boys acting as a counter-assault unit rather than a massive in-your-face Death Star (though they can be run that way should you choose). The only thing it drops is the Lascannons from the Predators in favor of Heavy Bolters, which I think is a better setup anyway. Predators with Lascannon Sponsions rarely are able to get LoS with all three weapons on the same target if that target is a vehicle. They still have the Autocannons to pop light transports, and Heavy Bolters to supplement their anti-infantry firepower. In all reality Meltaguns and Multi-Meltas are better options against higher AV tanks than Lascannons anyway, and a list like the one above has enough firepower of all types to handle incoming threats.
Just my thoughts.

Hmm, that is a rather nice list. Big emphasis on flamers, which makes sense considering Vulkan's chapter tactics. I think I'd like to try running my current list at least once or twice to see how it works before I try buying more units.
