Hello all,

I was quite excited to hear about the new dark eldar, and was ready to collect them.
However, I am not quite so sure now, as I am sure new comers to WH40k will invest in this army.
Maybe Dark Eldar will replace marines, and will become the biggest selling army?
I for one am disappointed to see this happen, as I first looked upon this army as unique.
I guess only time can tell, as we anticipate the new release in the distant future.

Nah. The images look great, and they'll likely be popular, but we really don't know what their rules look like.

Way too early to speculate on them being over powered or under priced. You might see as many as you do Orcs, I suppose. But the Various Marines will likely still be the best selling/most popular army for some time.

I have the exact same problem. Which is why I've gone Inquisition-pure Inquisition, none of this GK or Sisters stuff. Soon we'll be so unique, we won't even have a codex anymore!

I'm dying on the inside really.

Just wait for the excitement to die down then pick up the pieces cheaper off ebay when they get dropped for the next shiney sparkle that comes along

models are great, sculpted to perfection...they will be the next hot item but dont think they will overthrow marines...with GW spewing marines faster than raindrops in a thunderstorm...

Nah. Dark Eldar isn't as simple and primitive as the space marines. They have complex models with high standards for paint jobs if you want them to look badass like they should. I'd say do it.

That doesn't stop younger people from painting them horribly.

Busy somewhere, airin' out the skin jobs.

Every codex that comes out has everybody "going to start this army".

If you like the army, want to start it, and have the means, do it.

The bandwagoneers will be ebaying their models soon enough after the next codex comes out.

I have never failed to seize on 4+ in my life!

Early in the month I think, thats how most of GW releases happen. They coincide it with release of whitedwarf.
