At the minute it seems to be battlewagons orks, are the way to go and was just wondering whether or not this list would effective, and with 9 trucks and 9 War Buggies I think it would be quite effective on the tabletop up close and personal so what do you think.

It might be worthwhile to try to equip these guys uniquely within squads. That is, one TL shoota, one combi-rokkit, one combi-scorcha. Dunno where to get the points, but it will keep your Nobz alive a bit longer.

Trukks are just fail all round I'm afriad :( They're so weak that any army can take them down and don't need dedicated anti tank weapons to do it.

Another problem with Trukks is unit sizes. 12 Orks don't threaten a lot, you'll have to pile two units onto one target to get the job done. Also, 3 Meganobz in Trukks don't work - pop the Trukks Meganobz walking with SnP - NOT COOL. Get different wargear on them at least to play wound shenigans.

Wow, you have succeed in creating a worse than I think you should be able to list.

Get battlewagonz and dump the meganobz for regular nobs. The Reg. nobz ARE WAY better.

Not a fan of MegaNobz.

Could the list work? I have no idea. Every time I've used the Kult of Speed/Freak list my opponent has blown my Trukks wide open, then I lose 2-3 Orks from the ramshackle - then I lose 1-2 more from shooting, then they're not fearless anymore.

IMO Trukks fail unless they're backed by Wagons, and completely and utterly out of LOS, and within KFF range

Overall it seems to be a very mixed bag of opinions in regards to see how effective this would be.

Although at this year's European team championships all the top speed freak lists had mega-armour boys either in trucks or in battlewagons.

POLAND (first place)

DANEMARK (second place)

See for yourselves

All ran mega-armour boys

And yes you are quite right they are very fragile but considering you have nine of them its in-your-face on turn 2.

The only thing I can think about doing is to reduce the size of the boys in the trucks which would enable me to buy a little more upgrades.

Or replace the mega-armour boys with10 Nobz w/ truck powerklaws cybork with pain boy and banner?

If I can afford it although I have not done the maths.

I think its a pretty cool list and it would be pretty fun to play. The only thing i would suggest changing is...

-Drop the Buggies for Koptas. If you get first turn, the ability to pop almost any tank on the field is amazing. Buzz saws FTW

-Add in a second KFF Mech. This would allow you to split your army up into a couple trukk mobs and still get the 4+ save.

Over all i would give it a whirl and just play the hell out of it. Just because people think trukks suck doesnt really mean they do. I mean if you run the Koptas, you create a HUGE distraction on turn 1 that will prob take a lot of the fire away from your trukks. Not to mention you can use the koptas to tie up any squads that might have heavy weapons.

Hope this helps man.
