You all remember when the Beastman codex came out and the Minotaurs were regarded as hideous models. It turned out GW just did a crappy job painting. The Minotaurs are actually quite decent when their muscles are not picked out with such a hard contrast. It looks to me like they may have done the same with Lelith but the models beefy muscles almost make it tranny looking. You be the judge.

That's the best female Games Workshop model I've ever seen.

I mean seriously, give the sculptors a hand. The face especially manages to look emotive without being all >:O.

Why, because she's DOESN'T have gigantic boobs, and she actually looks athletic?

She doesn't make me think "transexual".

Troll in the basement!

I think the model is fantastic and has a decent studio paint job.
The proportions and the lines are spot on.
I'm hoping to see what some of the better CMoN artists will do with it.

I think your vote system should have options for someone that thinks the model and it's paint job is good.

Thats true for sure.

Pros Vs Cons ( its all perspective on where you stand right? xD )

- Its the best GW female sculpt to date , however its not really a big deal IF compared to other companies that have been doing quality female sculpts so for decade
- It has better proportion as its not in heroic scale like old GW , however whats wrong with her abs? Perhaps its the paint job , and does she have receding hair line? (j/k) I mean the race are old but... i guess its rare to see a balding elf
- The concept design is nice ( if we didnt know it is lelith or had the old one to compare to ) , but it doesnt have the inspiring presence she used to have. Almost like she was demoted , or this sculpt represent
her before she rose to power.

Maybe it's a wig, and she's bald underneath.

I love the new incubi, radiers, archon and revears, the warriors seem uninspired but not bad at all.

Lelith looks like a gladiator, not a transsexual. She's a warrior, she fights regularly, she's going to be built like a brick gak, not a supermodel.

That said, they actually managed to make her seem attractive at the same time, which is more credit to Jes. Best female model they've ever done. I'll probably buy one just to paint.

Seriously, this model is one of GW's best. I think you need to add an "I love this model" choice for your poll. You'd get more poll responses than just people disagreeing with you on the forum. The model is great, and the paintjob is pretty good too. I don't play dark eldar, but I'm definitely tempted to start, and this would be the FIRST model I buy...and maybe a box of wyches.

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Yeah, I tend to agree. I vote: This is a bad poll.

I like the model and the paintjob.

That and those reavers... so cool

I have to agree with the OP on this one. I said something I rather like on the Dark Eldar bandwagon thread concerning this, I think it was that "she looks like a he who has just had a surgery after many years of self confusion". I actually think that the best female model GW has made is the blonde Damsell of The Lady from the Brettonian range but thats IMHO.

I think the rest of the DE are fantastic, but Lelith just.....dosen't look good to me.

The problem with the Brettonian female models is their faces all suffer from the usual GW female problem, they're too angular and hard looking.

Is it just me, or are GW models becoming less heroic scale?

I think that Model is just full of win. If I could paint for gak, I'd buy it and paint it. Same with the Archon.

Wut I thought this was a good model, the painting is pretty slick too. Not sure what the problem is, this is probably one of the best lady models GW has created. Hell all the DE models are great but Urien makes me want to vomit, but I think that's the point...

Isn't that the point? I mean, I doubt they designed Urien to make people think of rainbows and kittens.

I know many people like that in their models (more's the pity), but just because her boobs aren't gigantic doesn't mean she's a transexual.

She looks to be of... well... actually average size...

[insert stereotypical comment about how the OP hasn't ever seen a real girl naked here]

I propose the hypothesis that the gentleman who started this internet conversation has not yet had the pleasure of viewing the female form in its entirety.

This model is not really close to being true scale at all IMO. Her head and hands are still about double the size they should be.

I'm forced to agree that her anatomy is a bit iffy. Female skeleton would typically have shoulders about the same width as the hips, with a much smaller chest. I would have thought this would be even more exaggerated in elves since even the men are girly looking. Yet her shoulders and chest seem very broad in comparison to her hips, which would be more in tune with a male figure.

I do think that painting the muscles with such heavy contrast was a mistake. If you look at comic book tutorials for drawing females (even athletic super heroines) they will usually suggest omitting harsh details (especially around the neck) because they make the figure appear more butch and less youthful.

Altogether I don't hate this figure, but I don't really like it particularly either. I think the new daemonette models are much more graceful and elegant.

The one part I really do like is her hair. Definitely one to keep in mind for conversions. I could see that hair looking great on a homebrew Ragnar or the like.
