Use to play AC1 going back a long long time, but since then i havent seen one about to buy.
That was until i found this one today in blockbusters.

Anyone else here play it?
Just found so far that it seems to run at insane speeds with constant quick reactions being essential.
So, this is a game i love now.
Fast combat, infinate builds, online play.

Ive only just started though (done a few missions and 12 or so arena games) so im still new to it.
But so far it looks pretty damn good to me.

Just need to start unlocking more stuff quickly, as the weapons im using dont really hold out in arena anymore as opponants just get stronger and faster.
Against fast flyers i use missile arms, with missile shoulder weps. (keep in the air and moving)
Against slow tank builds i generally use 2 bazookers with shoulder bazookers and as lightweight build as possible. (just fly and shoot)

Also, double energy swords, are they worth using?
Was thinking about a very lightweight build with as little energy consumption as possible for constant movement.
That way its just a case of hit and run tactics, but this does however fall short against other highly mobile NEXT's.

so, peoples thoughts, opinions, ideas and suggestions?

Everywhere I'm not supposed to be.

I rented it and enjoyed it for the week I had it, but I've always been a fan of the AC series. The only thing I didn't like is the one thing that seems to plague these games: that one super god-awful insane NEXT that no matter how you go about it, you just can't beat it. For your lightweight, hit-and-run build, go with the energy blade on one arm, and a machine gun on the other. Then throw some decoy launchers on your shoulders, because you'll start encountering missle barrages that are hard to avoid just because of the sheer number of missles coming at you.

If you need me, I'll be busy wiping the layers of dust off my dice.

Haven't played it in a while, but it was a favorite of mine for some time. The speeds at which some of the later battles (like the one against white glint) move is just insane.

Haven't played it for a while. Love the speed, though it never got to hard for me, except for those stupid flying giant laser fortress thingies mission, somehow, I just can't beat those buggers.

Double swords can be worth it with the right build, But you'll need things like moonlight(was that the name of that long ass blade?)

Oh god...White Glint... That was the super crazy insanohard NEXT I was referring to. Never could beat that thing. Tried a variety of builds ranging from lightning quick attacks with machine gun and blade to sheer missle bombardment, it all ended badly for me.

I don't remember how I handled him. IIRC, it involved a lot of missiles and chainguns...

I find it funny that theres so much variety in the game for builds.

I found white glint piss easy to kill, simply because ive spent hours tweaking my NEXT to make sure its balanced and as light as possible.
However, i found the chinese NEXT (unsure of name) near impossible to beat as he sits back with twin missiles and 2 snipers.
Even though ive got the speed to get to him, he just turbo boosts away when i get there.

Ended up using twin bazookers on my light build to kill him.

Now ranked 4th in the arena, and fights are starting to get hard at this point.

Changes wise, i prefer twin blades as you get a duel lock, allowing you to use the 1st blade for a quick dash, then the 2nd to hit them.

Tried the distraction weapons, but cant get on with them, they also weight over 800, which when my next is only 6,200, really does make a difference.

Rather just quick boost between missiles, then boost center in the air for scatter missiles.

the builds I used:
Light + reverse jointed legs and all machine guns with highest firing rate/most ammo.

Extreme heavy with 4 grenade cannons.

And mister hoover with all muzzleshell missile launcher for maximum chained missiles! Gotta love firing like 40 of 'm in one go.
