I'm trying to put together a 1.5k point army and was looking for some suggestions. I've never played before, so my choices are based solely on what I've been told / read. Thank you!

Not allowed to post individual point costs, please read the faq

Dont see a point in kommados in a nob biker list but then again I dont have too much experience with them/snikrot

Edited! The Bikers will most likely be hitting front lines asap. I'm thinking the Kommandos will be good for taking out targets hiding behind difficult terrain or out of distance. The deffkopta w/ Buzzsaw for taking out transports / tanks in the first round.

I could be wrong but I think the Codex reads that you can take Snikrot instead of a Nob not with. I might take those points and slim up the nobs just a little gear wise and see about getting another Defkopta or two. Using that Deffkopta could take care of one transport, and then again it could wiff and then die on the next turn. I like to run 3 defkoptas as single units and wreck house I know there is going to be more than tank in most list and I want to open them up as quick as I can. Then again they could all wiff and then die on the next turn I think you have the right idea for your biker nob list. I just might play around with your support some and see what works and what doesn't. I mean you will be in someones face by turn two anyways, snikrot might not come on untill later if your dice are against you, by that time a good target might be gone or a mile away. I might try lootas and make it rain from 48" out. I'm not trying to knock your Kommandos idea. It should work, just be flexable try it a few times and then try something else.

Good Luck!

Haha! Yeah, the deffkoptas sound awesome. What about this list? Drop the kommandos , drop 1 nob from each nob biker squad, then add 1 deffkopta and get a battlewagon. Have the deffkoptas try and take out any transports / vehicles at the start, rush with the nobs / warboss then plant the battlewagon in the center and rain down on them.

Like I said try a bunch of diffrent builds, the battlewagon might work. I'm not sure what the stats on the Battle Wagon Cannon is but it might do the ranged work your looking for but keep a few things in mind, every army has ways of getting back into your backfeild and taking vital units. if the rest of your army is on your enemys side of the board then that Battle Wagon will be sitting in the back all alone and looking tasty, and some armys can just one shot it from across the table if they can just catch one of the sides of it. staying moble might be your best bet. Nothing is going to be perfect and diffrent armys and diffrent army builds are going to play diffrent. I would say try your first build and go from there.

that wagon dont fit in this type of army i would drop it for more nob bikers and add twin rokits to your koptas. i also recomend at teast one small unit of grots to hold objective while you nobs are killin stuff

Automatically Appended Next Post:
and boss poles are good for small units like these

I really like the idea of Kommandos w/ Snikrot because of his ability to ambush. I think most units would be tied down with nob bikers / warboss bikers in the front. While Snikrot and his krew assault the units hiding behind the lines. Right now I've got something like this in mind:

HQ: 140 pts
Warboss
Warbike
Power Klaw
Cybork Body
Shoota/Skorcha kombi

I like this list best so far. Adding the second kopta I think is a good idea

Very easy to slice this army as there's only ~ 30 models on the field. Max save you have is 4+, FNP. Assuming 60 wounds needed, that's rediculously easy to achieve in one round in a 1500 point game. I would find some sort of way of including at least one squad of boyz....

I may be mistaken but I think you can have only one WAAAGH banner in an army.

I like your second list best - Snikrot works well in this list - he shoudl push units closer to the bikes. Id add some rokkits to those Koptas.

WAAAGH banners are upgrades iirc. I think you can have as many as you want. That would mean you could have WS10 Nobz if you burned all your points

Waaagh! banners Do NOT stack, but you can have more than 1 in a squad.

I forsee this list getting owned. You really need a higher model count then 29.

Haha, We'll I've never played a game. I'm just going by what tactics I can find online. I understand I'd have trouble some tweeking to do in the games where I have to hold points but is the low unit count really any issue? I've heard Nob biker armies are pretty durable.

Do a Battlewagon Rush. 3 Boyz mobz, 1 nobz mob, 1 big mek w/kff, Ghaz/Warboss, 4 battlewagons.
