Well, the next RTT approaches and I'll play Necrons.
Opponents will be Tau (6 Broadsides), IG among others.
I'll not give them the chance to bring down my Monos.
By the way, no res orb or vod.

That list is absolutely crazy. I definately can approve of not giving your Tau friend target priority with monos
Having said that that list isnt:
necron lord with res orb
warriors
points left? yes? monolith
points left still? yes? more warriors
repeat until you do not have points left

Hello Guardsmen, look at your Leman, now back to mine, now back to your Leman, now back to mine. Sadly, your Leman isn't mine, but if they stopped using standard engines and switched to Lucifer Pattern, they could move like they're mine. Look down, back up. Where are you? Your in a battlefield with the Rhino your Leman could move like. Whats in your hand, back at me, I have it, it's the fire control for the Twin-linked Assault Cannons aimed at you. Look again, it's a Deep-Striked Land-Raider. Anything is possible when your Tanks move like Blood Angels, and not like Guardsmen. I'm on a Baneblade.

Well, the overall tactics is to stay in the back field and target the biggest threats first.
This hopefully silences guns or slows down the enemy's advance.
If the enemy is close enough, he will face Deceiver, Tomb Spider, Lord with warscythe, and Wraiths.

There will be only one of three missions with mission objectives, the other is with KPs and the third with holding quarters measured by VPs.

All the best if you do go with this list. I'd be more worried though about phasing out due to not having a large enough body count to soak up losses. As well as no resurrection orb to stem those losses more.

Well, I battled Necrons a lot with other armies
and I never felt that the res orb did help them a lot.
Now the situation is even worse when Necrons are trapped in cc.
If the enemy wins cc then there is a chance to wipe out the Necron unit just by failing the morale check.
Then the res orb cannot help either.

Hi Are you planning on using the Lord as a Can opener or just a CC/counter CC unit ? if so then i would drop the Warscythe and stick with the staff, there are not that many Inv saves in guard and Tau that you wont kill with shooting.

Also one unit of wraiths will fold to fire unless you have some LOS blocking terrain you would be better off dropping them and changing your elites to 3 units of 5 immortals, this with the loss of the Warscythe would free you up 35 points, you could stick a GOF or the like on the lord to give you the same edge. It would also give you more shooting @ the 12” – 24” range

I haven't taken a res orb on my lord in 2 years. I feel that its almost useless unless youre going against SM av 13 spam, or Mech Gaurd.

Keep the warscythe on the lord. It gives you flexibility. If you need to pop a devilfish, consider it done. Otherwise, you can still bypass all those annoying invuln saves granted by shield drones/special issue wargear.

I feel like the deciever is too slow to be useful. You could drop him for a Lord w/ Veil and condense the immortals into 1 unit (dropping 2 in the process). That gives you enough points to increase one of your destroyers to units of 5 and add 2 heavy destroyers in. OR +2 tomb spyders +1 H. Destroyer. If you have experience with the deciever and like him than by all means include him.

I'd drop the wraiths for a unit of 10 scarabs. They do the same thing, except that you have 9 times as many wounds in the unit. If you're trying to instant death things, i would do it with the heavy destroyers since those also ignore saves and fnp IIRC.

Shooting at 12 - 24'' can be rather ineffective when the enemy moves very quickly. Here is a corresponding list:
HQ - 440
1 Necron Lord (destroyer body, warscythe) - 140
1 Deceiver - 300

Elite - 420
5 Immortals - 140

2 Tomb Spiders - 110

The Deceiver is a very potent counter-strike unit. Dropping him and the Wraiths for Scarabs, vod Lord, and more Destroyers leaves an army that has less potential in cc.

That list is absolutely crazy.

Why?
Everybody giving advice vs. Necrons says go for the phase out and ignore the Monos.
Now there are no Monos there, but more Necrons with more shooting and more counter-charge.
