My mum was just driving through a town called Cranfield, when she spotted a store called "wargames workshop", and told me about it. I went onto thier site, http://www.wargamesworkshop.com/CategoryHome.aspx?CatID=1 , and I saw thier games workshop-quality scenery, for a fraction of the price. Just thought I should let you guys know.

JB: I like the concept of a free Shrike roaming through the treetops of the jungle. I'm not sure that I like the idea of a real Shrike sitting on my couch eating my Skittles.
corpsesarefun: Thank god I missed be nice to shrike day.
greenskin lynn: because of all the skittles and soda, you basically live off sugar water, like some sort of freakish human-hummingbird hybrid. |

I can vouch for these guys. I bought some of the terrain from the Budget Ranges (specifically, the Bombed-Out Building, the Trench Position, and the Demolished Buildings) and they're not too shabby. Similar in feel to the GW moonscape set.
Some of their other terrain is very nice.

Yeah, I'm gonna get loads of stuff:
2 of the budget trench sets
the bombed-out building
The command bunker
the trench position
the platformer terrain set
the command consoles
and the crates and oil drums. Me and andy-roo9000 have got one of the GW castles each, and are putting loads of defences around it for a giant apoc. game. I'll post the battle rep. as soon as we play it.

I can vouch for these guys, got a number of their small resin casts to add to my own home made buildings (the models such as scanner units, computers, lockers etc.)
Good quality, and as the OP states a reasonable price!

Don't know if the Wargames Store produces anything on their own (e.g. hills), but most of their stuff is by Grendel http://www.scotiagrendel.com/ and Ziterdes http://www.ziterdes.de/ziterdes/en/index.php?we_variant=en (most painted terrain except mediterranian), with some stuff added from Gale Force 9 ("ruins and more", river system sold, river system pictured is by Ziterdes), Pegasus (platforms), Vallejo (water effect) and Amera (budget future zone).
Grendel is an old resin company (now residing in a Scotish castle) selling these models for 20+ years (good product if you accept the old design and the cheap resin). Ziterdes is a German company producing hardfoam terrain and once produced such terrain elements for GW (ork village, cemetary, dug in Chimera bunker, etc). Latest products by Ziterds are a huge realistic castle and a modular Fantasy ship. I own many Ziterdes products and can recommend them.

i went there this morning, got an £18.99 bunker for £10 (with a bit of haggling) and they do sell hills seperately. Only annoying thing about the shop is- nothing's got price tags on. I think the staff guy makes them up as he goes along. I said "How much is this bunker?" He said"Was £18.99, now £15". I say "Oh, I only have a tenner- do you have any dugouts?" He said "I'll let you have it for a tenner", so I did
Very high quality detail, made of resin. For a tenner that's pretty good.
Bad thing about the website- they haven't updated it in two years, so they have new products that are'nt on the site.
Still a good place to go, though.
