Is it really worth the money, not the points, the money to buy the vendetta conversion packs from Forgeworld?

Have you checked Amazon??!??!?!?!?

Before you buy from forgeworld check other websites.

as of now neither ebay nor amazon have any conversion packs, but ebay has a vendetta already assembled, but i would just rather buy the conversion pack

ah ok. Then I suggest forgeworld. IT really matters. Do you want to spend all the agonizing hours putting together that softplastic together or painting it.

Do you have any Marine players among your regular opponents? Ask if they have any unused vehicular turret lascannons. They are perfect for Vendetta conversion purposes. One twin-linked lascannon goes under each wing and for the cockpit one you only need the front of a lascannon barrel.

I like the ones from forge world and yeah they were a bit pricey but I got three packs and plan on getting three more. I like the unified appearance they give vendettas and its always easy to get more if I need more.

The questions your asking is full of variables you are not providing for. For instance; how much is your time worth. If you want to make your own you will have to spend a chunk of time making all the necessary parts. If your time is extremely limited, or very valuable (monetarily, I mean), then you should buy a conversion kit (unfortunately, Forgeworld is the only one I know of, and is ridiculously priced for what you get).

If you've got lots of lascannons around (or you can scrounge them, swap for them, etc) then it's an easy conversion.

If you don't then the FW conversion is cheaper than any lascannons you can get from mail order. (terminus conversion kit - £10 for 4 lascannons)

You can also buy sentinel and IG heavy weapon lascannons on eBay for $2 a piece. I've seen some great conversions using these (requiring minimal skill with putty!), and they should wind up being much, much cheaper than the FW kits ($10 vs $20+).

Valkyrie + 2 IG HW squads = Vendetta + 6 AC/HB/ML/Mortars

also, would it make sense to tint the windows of the valkyrie?
