Man, those Empire kits are superb. I would definitely start an Empire army of them. The current plastics just don't cut it.

Otherwise, marketing again showed their appreciation of all the GW fans gathered in one place by celebrating the big news of a Skaven second wave

(reminds me of last year, when Space Hulk was announced a day after GD Germany)

Some of them are, many are not. Phil Kelly's army is the black orange one (seems to look better IRL), Chris Peach made a Wych cult army (the red one?). Info provided by Cpt. Mcallister over at Warseer.

Nothing that we havent seen since GD UK. Phil Kelly did a Q&A after some DE goodness and said that the next thing to come out would be something Imperial again, but they are working on Xenos as well. I guess that goes a long with Grey Knights and Tau/Necrons afterwars. The FW guys said that some more Xenos stuff is floating around there as well (also Necrons and more Orks appearently). The guy also mentioned that they usually have quite a lot of stuff/concepts and even done stuff flying around but they hold em back until they either coincide with a release or until they got enough to fill another book.

Graham McNeill read a few pages from the next installment of the Sigmar series and did an Q&A after that also. He mentioned that another UM book is in the works, as well as some killer new Heresy books. He would really like to write another Iron Warriors book (Honsou

) but thatll be a while. Honsou will not feature in the next UM book though. I did bother his editor bout this for several minutes though

He really wants to write the Iron Warrior Heresy book though. His reason being that with Legion and A thousand sons, he wrote about legions that fell due to... lets call it misconceptions. But according to him, the IW fell willingly, knowing quite well what theyre getting into. Last but not least he said that he may delve deeper into the Sabbat Worlds as well. His story, Apostles creed, is featured in the Sabbat Worlds book, and I loved it, so Id really like to see more of that as well. I think Dan did an amazing job of building the whole framework and Grahams style fits in perfectly well. The black library also had some more stoff on board there and it was cool to chat to them and give them some feedback. like the fact that buying a book from the uk (bloodline for example) is worthless for someone in Germany since its twice the price thanks to shipping. They also said that theyre actually thinking about doing unabridged audiobooks, but if that ever happens itll be download only. Id love em to offer those over at audible

As for the UM movie. The trailer actually looked way cooler on a bigger screen. The guys said that the steelbook will only be available from their site, but its not a x-amount of prints limited edition. So, if you havent preordered yet, you should be fine even if you do so in the next few weeks. Appearently the studio is funding the entire thing themselves, so theyre really relying on the money from preorders.

Mark Bedford was around and hes probably one of the coolest people ive ever met. He did have several folders of concept art work lying abouts and his stuff is amazing. But youve all seen the pics of the nurgle toads and dragon toads and what not.

Ill check if I have some more pics that are worth anything as well.

Overall, I was pleasently surprised. For the 20 bucks I spent, I got entertained quite a bit. Obviously no real discounts, but they did have a sales area for old stuff. Boxes of epic, mordheim, metal blisters, shirts, army books white dwarfs etc. By the end of the day theyre were throwing out some good deals there just to get rid of the junk.

edit: of best thing of the day was actually the bezerker almost taking some kids head off with that axe of his.

The FW Xeno stuff will be Eldar, as already shown on GD UK. The Orks are mostly done and the Necron orm was a singular release.

I haven't been there to do anything other than buy something in a few weeks. I've been going to Köln 2 lately since they are open later and usually have a lot more people around (I've only ever seen 1 person up for a game in Bonn, the rest either didn't have an army, or wanted to play at a point level I couldn't make). Im still rather new to Bonn though (only been here for a month and a half or so), but have managed 1750 if you are ever down for a game.

Well, you could buy Abnett's 1k Sons novel "Prospero Burns" for the first time (official release in 3 months).

And here some tidbits by Crazy_Irish over at Warseer:

It was my first GD, and i really enjoyed it. Nice stuff to see and stuff to learn(metallics and such) AND Phil Kelly. His seminar was fun, explained a lot why he did some stuff like taking away the jetbike and the skyboard from the Lords- cause Hellions are like the skater gang and you couldn't picture a King on a skateboard, could you ;-)

Also he had a very fitting explanation to why lelith has BS9 and such, he sad:
Lelith is like THE Olympic Gold Medal Winner, she has won everything!
Well maybe not Bobracing, or Curling, thats more Canadian...

It was real fun. Something interesting for the background will be found in the two White Dwarfs of November and December, as they will have more info on the different kabals and such. They wanted them to be like the craftworlds of the Eldar, so interesting things to come.

Regarding the Models to come, Phil sad that we could not believe how much there is to come, but Asdrubael has no model jet, but everyone wants him to have one. So Asdrubael is fare off but will eventually come(as will all the other stuff)

Well and there was also the FW stand, and what would be most fitting to ask?
So are you doing DE in a while?
Indeed, they will wait a while for GW to sell their products but they will make a book containing the DE, and one thing they would like to do is a big raider. about twice the size and with a WWP on it so the troops can jump in and out of it......
