Hey guys, I found this wonderful little guy on ebay, by puppetsofwar. He was $30 and he looked amazing. Like jabba the hut with a slight cold.






I haven't painted nurgle in awhile, but after painting this guy I don't know why I ever stopped.
I started with a scored brown basecoat, then vermin brown, and a drybrush of scorpion green, along with some green washes. His guts are just a pink, red wash, and another drybrush of pink.

Whatcha guys think, does anyone else have this awsome little guy?

lol but seriously, that would work as a Great Unclean One. It even looks like Nurgle from the cover of Realm of Chaos book.

Nah, Papa Nurgle loves all his children. This is why he visits all his wonderful diseases, agues and poxes on the universe. It's when his followers get hurt by others that he gets... angry. You wouldn't like him when he's angry...

Yeah, he looks happy doesn't he, like he just ate a midget or something. Thats one of the reasons I was slightly hesitent to buy him, he looked too... happy lol. But I have actually grown to like him alot more because of that. It gives him alot of character. I wish puppetsofwar made a few more of him, he was a real joy to paint him.

Actually the GUO is usually quite jovial, maniacal might be another way to put it but he's always described as almost deceptively jolly. More often than not nurgle followers are extatic in all texts, delighting in the gifts of the great lord nurgle.

Besides, he's not smiling any more than these guys are...

But at least we know that somewhere out there, StarWars and 40k DO actually mix somewhere, because thats a damn Hut for sure. Nicely painted too I might add

All Papa Nurgle's children are happy, except the Plaguebearers, who are like Marvin the android from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, due to being curse to constantly count all the diseases, pustules, nurglings, sneezes etc.

GUOs are constantly chuckling and are, according to the fluff, jovial and amiable old buggers (as they try to cut off your head and/or give you ebola).
Beasts of Nurgle are like excitable puppies, running up to whoever they see to lick their faces and slobber all over them (thereby killing them with the contagions they carry).
Nurglings are like hysterical 2 year olds... nuff said.

There is another model I found which is just amazing for nurgle but i cant find it. Looks like a monster from the movie The Thing. Real ugly. Ill keep looking.

Ive seen those helldorado minis, and I really like them. But I can find anywhere they sell them. ( particularily that fat guy with the tongue) if anyone knows where to buy them, please let me know!

There's actually lots of nice looking stuff on their site but no facility to buy anything, plus it's all in French which doesn't help a great deal.

Having checked the forum it looks like the game has changed hands/publishers and a re-issue is on the way.

hopefully that'll mean you can actually buy them from their store. I've heard of people having some in their flgs, but outside of the internet, I've never seen them. a pitty, because there are at least 5 of those models I would buy in a heartbeat.

Maelstrom was listed as possibly having some left but I haven't checked.

Nice work on the paint job. It looks nice and gross, as is fitting for the GUO. I like the grin actually.

As well those Hell Dorado figures have some awesome potential if I ever tried to do more Chaos, and some nice options that could be turned into Inquisitors as well. I will have to keep my eyes open for them once Cipher games starts supporting the line again.
