Greatings,
I wanted to share with you the current army on my desk, a friends Sanguinary Guard heavy Blood Angels army.
The core of the army is 15 Sanguinary Guard with Dante, an Honor Guard squad and some small units of Death Guard and Assault Marines, plus a few characters.

A couple of things on painting these models- the camera doesn't reflect the shade and highlights of the gold real well, but it is hard to get good highlights with gold. Adding silver to your gold mix tends to desaturate the color a lot which I personally don't like on models that have tons of gold (like these models). I'll add more washes before I'm done to give the models more depth and create some false highlights to it. Also the wings were a bit of a pain. My client assembled the models and attached the wings prior to delivering them to me. It would have been so much easier to prime them white and go from there. But the gold needs a black primer... and thus the white needs lots of layers of white. For the white I started with Foundation Paints- Astronomican Grey to get a base coat on. Then started adding pure white in multiple layers. Probably around ten in order to get the white, white. It also helps to get some sense of shading on the wings.

Looking nice so far from what I can see. Any ideas what colour you'll be doing for the weapons?

No trees were hurt in the making of this sig, however many electrons were disturbed.

@jabba- Thanks.
@Lenny- They guy I am painting these for wants the blue lightening power weapon scheme. Its not the style I like the most... but that is what will happen.

Here are 15 Sang Guard in their shinny armor and bright white wings. All I know is this, the power level of our local group has been cranked up a bit.
I hope to get started on the weapons soon and I'll be making custom bases for the Blood Angels.
