On the inside of the Vostroyan lasgun there is a long cylinder thing like a scope, but not. The gun already has sights so what the heck is that so I can paint it right.

I'm not exactly sure what part you mean, but that does appear to be the scope.

No; on top is a scope but on the inside against the chest is the part i'm talking about. You can't see it with those picks.

I think I know what you're talking about. is it that tiny long piece on the wooden part of the rifle that connects to a metal brace near where the stock joins the main body? If so, I think it's part of the brace.

No. It is on the inside between the rifle and the body but it is a part of the rifle. I just looked at one of my guys and I'm leaning toward a laser targeting thing. You can see it pretty easy on the sharpshooter lookin model or the one thats charging.

if it's actually between the body of the vostroyan and the gun, you'll have to get us a pic since there's no way we can see it =x. It might be a lasersight or a brace.

Well from the pic i posted i can only see 3 colors on the guns, so... ini mini miny moe.

I doubt anyone would really notice such minor detail anyway.

or you could just hack it off, then you wont need to worry about what it is, or what color its meant to be

This pic of Dezmord's Vostroyan Guard from the WarSeer forums shows the gun in pretty clear detail (though from the wrong side). Is the piece your looking to paint not on the right hand side of the gun at all?

Sorry just settled in from work. Thanks for helpin guys. big Tim Its on the left side of the gun. On your pic you can just see the end of it peeping over the top of the wood . Look between the eagle skull and the top gun sight( which now that I look at it so close I dont think its a scope or a sight)

Could it be perhaps a spare barrel case or something like that?

Or a torch. Or a random bit of future tech that makes the thing work

Perhaps its the housing for a cleaning kit( IE gun staves and bore brushes.) I know some of our rifles have a place in the stock to house them.

Yea but you wouldnt mount something that big on the gun while firing if it was just to clean it. I just dont get it . Well I appreciate all of the input thanks dudes.

Its a second scope. if you look on the heavy bolter model there is one on the side also. im guessing its a more high powered scope if they need it considering fluff wise most of their guns are given through generations of family, making whatever sights on it out dated.

I was wondering the same also about the models but i will be painting it as i do the normal optic on the top of the gun.

A lot of WW2 rifles has the cleaning rods mounted under the barrels, so having one to the side makes just as much sense.

It has a lens though. i could be some sort of cleaning equipment but untill we find a definite purpose for it, its a cleaning barel scope mount. lmao

If it has a lens then it will be a side mounted torch (or luminator i guess). Unless Vostroyans get twin linked lasguns
