They probably will have a few questions if you have no receipt, but that's nothing a bit of schmoozing wont get round.

If if you have the reciept you whould be able to get your money back, rather than store credit.
When you say NIB, what do you mean? If you mean the product you bought is new in the box then what I said above is the case. If you mean you took things from the box and what's left is new in the box then...no, you probably wont be able to trade that back.

That's a bit different. "Do you have a reciept?" was referring do you having a reciept from a GW store.)
You can probably get a GW store to let you swap product. Probably won't get a refund. But who knows?

The real question is why did you buy so many Fiends of Slaanesh to just end up returning them?

Over at my local store, they do except returns for full credit if the box/blister is sealed and not damaged(ie ready to be placed back on the shelf immediately).
I've even had a case where I returned some stuff I actually bought at a non-GW store(paid full price for it still). I told them it was not from a GW store and I was told that was fine so long as it was still sealed/shrink-wrapped. It have been that the staff know me really well though.

I'd keep the FLGS receipt to one side in case you have no luck at GW.
At the GW store, stick with the Auntie Flo story...
Might also help if you plan to leave with a value of product greater than you go in with.

i just simply want the equivalent value, since the product i am trying to give back is brand new and in straight to shelf condition.
hopefully it all works out :]

I think what BloodQuest meant was that the store sees a 'straight exchange' as a sum zero, or even a loss, as someone has to do work, restock, etc.... Especially if they're taking something that they may not need a bunch of. I don't know if Fiends of Slaanesh are the kind of thing that sits on shelves or not.
If you're exchanging 12 boxes for 12 similar price-point boxes, maybe add a 13th in or something... That way they can say they actually mvoed some product, not jsut shuffled it around.

But fiends don't come in a box?
But yeah...refund, don't expect it. Swapsies, more than likely as long as the goods are genuinely intact (i.e. not squished, bent etc).

Oh, and they have to be current. If they are the old edition ones (quite dinky, come on a Cavalry base) then you might be out of luck.

Replace 'Boxes' with 'Blisters' as appropriate. Never been big on Chaos when I was active in 40k, much less now. Still, the basic idea is to give them some incentive.
Another good idea is to try to go in when it's slow.... From my experience, if there's a big rush on the registers, retail employees can be a lot less likely to do favors and you want the situation to be as relaxed as possible.

Reading your whole gist of this thread....
No. They arn't going to recover something you bought from another store.
Your best bet is to try feebey or over in the swap section. good luck...

At Games Workshop, we believe that how you behave does matter. We believe this so strongly that we have written it down in the Games Workshop Book. There is a section in the book where we talk about the values we expect all staff to demonstrate in their working lives. These values are Lawyers, Guns and Money. |
