Short answer: No.
Long answer: Most players have fought so many marine armies they won't even think to ask if your LRs are different. If it comes up, just ask nicely to house rule it. BT aren't a super-competitive army and I doubt most players would be terribly opposed to letting your assault out of your LRs (though ask out-of-game, to curb any bias).

And, just to open the can of worms, if someone in a tournament refuses to let you play it as an assault vehicle, point them to the German Errata (http://www.games-workshop.com/MEDIA_CustomProductCatalog/m2530040_Errata_Codex-Black_Templars.pdf). Since it states that it applies to the english version as well, you've got *some* sort of RaW to back up your claim, even if there's most likely going to be an argument about it...

Yup, BT LR have assault ramps which don't exist (all vehicles which would most likely have had assault ramps in previous editions now reference the assault vehicle rule in their codex). Also for fun take a look at your Venrable Dreadnought. He can have the "Furious Assault" rule at an additional cost. What Furious Assault is we may never know (though I and my group play it as the fairly obvious "Furious Charge"). So house rule away...

Edited: to mitigate talking out my arse.

In German speaking places, sure.

Otherwise you are being dishonest when clicking where you came from when accessing the GW site initially, as the rulebook allows.

Also, if no one speaks German to back it up, saying "this guy online said this FAQ noone can read backs me" will cause issues.

Of course, but I'd personally feel that someone who pulls a douche move on you deserves to get one back. Besides, where does it say that I can't use all the Erratas on GWs webpage?

As has been said, strictly they aren't, but in 95% of cases players are sensible enough to recnognise that it should be an assault vehicle.

Unless a unit exists that can assault out of closed tops exists, then you technically can. Read about the part where units "assault from the vehicle" gain frag grenades.

As for the standard one it has no such thing, just the crusader has that bit that makes mention of some insane unit, capable of assaulting from closed top vehicles!

As per the rulebook FAQ, you technically can't.

The BT Codex doesn't include the Assault Vehicle rule because at the time it was printed, the rule was in the core Rulebook and applied to all Land Raiders. With the removal of the rule from the core rules, the Crusader referring to units assaulting on the turn they disembark is an artefact of a rule that no longer exists, and as per the Rulebook FAQ should therefore be ignored.

On the table, though , I think you will find that most people are happy to play as all Land Raiders having the Assault Ramp. Discuss it with your opponent if in doubt.
