Living at a friends house at the moment, and when I got in, one of her two cat's has had his arse well and truly kicked. Quite a lot of blood on his fluff...

What the hell do I do? Can't call my friend, as I need to pay my bill, and not sure when she's getting back....

The vet might be a good place to start.

Dunno where that is.... This sucks. Seriously. This sucks.

Totally not a Cat person, but this sucks.

He seems fine enough, but I'm worried by the amount of blood.

First, clarify exactly who's blood it is(the cat's or its foe's). Where is the blood situated? (neck, stomach, leg, etc). Is the cat limping? Is it wounded? If so, where? Is it in distress with any wounds and worrying at them? More detail is required.

Phone the vets
explain the injuries AND your situation regarding the cat being a friend's.

It would help if you knew which surgery your friend uses. They will have records and may well defer charges till your friend returns.

It probably looks a lot worse than the injuries actually are but the problem could be with infection and anti-biotics maybe required.

Google Vet in your local area?
Call them for assistance?

Sounds bad, but I'm not sure Dakka is the place to start....actually I'm pretty sure it's not.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Her daughter is back and dealing.

Result for me.

Stupid Cat doesn't seem too fussed I must say, but it's definately his blood. Gore on the food dish too.

Either that or the little sod is getting into the Halloween spirit and just trying to make me gak my pants.

Think it is more of a result for the cat!

Glad someone sensible is there to tend to the poor thing properly.

And he wasn't dead this morning!

Hurrah!

Last time I stayed round here, I think I might have bumgassed her son's Lizardy thing to death. Him was dead in the morning!

I find it appalling that you are asking this in a 40k forum. You should have found a veterinarian by some manner and taken the cat there asap, and you still should.

Seriously, phone book, google, any other friend you have that has pets could have all assisted you far faster than dakka dakka off topic forum.

I don't know... I agree with juraigamer... he had the balls to say what others may not have specifically, but wanted to.

I had no money (today being payday, and first in two months thanks to unemployment).

Phone bill must be paid before I can make calls.

No idea about Cats.

What else could I do?
