So, I am at a dilemma here. I have 4 battle wagons I'm using deff rollas with. One of them has a nice convertion of three of the grabbin klaws on the front (not my conversion, but nice). Two others have the GW deff rolla on them. I have another GW upgrade sprue that I can use on the 4th, but was thinking about maybe doing some other kitbash/ conversion for it. I basically have a box full of bits to 7 battlewagons at my disposal, guns, klaws, front rams, cargo pieces etc, and the upgrade sprue. I can't just use the upgrade sprue, as the battlewagon has tracks on the front also, and they extend too far forward for the deff rolla to fit on, so at a minimum I have to extend it.

Here's a picture of the klaw converion one:

And here's what I'm working with:

I'll be the first to admit, my imagination is rather lacking for something like this, my orky pride is definitely in trouble. I was thinking of using the front ramming piece, and gluing on 6 of the horns from the kit, with about 4 halves of the klaws to make a very serrated frontal appearance, but when I try to visualize it in my mind, it just seems like it will come out pretty tacky (at best).

Anyway, any thoughts would help.

The first thing that came to my mine was placing it in that large gap at the front between the treads, as this seems to be where the model is lacking anything. This could either be done by cutting down the plastic one, or building a new one out of plasticard. This would make a nice bulldozer appearance, and makes sense as the tracks would also be used to squish opponents. I've also seen those coarse hair brushes used as deffrolla's, the ones with the spread out coarse bristles? (Hope you know what i'm on about). Hope i was of help.

It's like you read my mind with the bulldozer idea. After staring at the wagon long enough, I decided to try my idea I posted earlier.

First I had to make the mounting section, I used a pair of grabbin klaw arms and glue them underneath the hull:

Then, took a couple bits of grabbin klaws, cut them up and glued them to the ram:

Then glued it to the supports:

It's still missing something, I have the horns that you can see in one of the pictures that I can put on there, not sure what else to do. It does look much better than I was imagining in my mind.

Here's a quick update:

I put on some of the spikes and one of the larger ork glyphs on the front. It adds a little more character, but it's still just ok. I guess not bad for the whole 15 minutes I've spent on it.

It's all only tacked together with light glue, I might try something different tomorrow after I sleep on it.
