Tough Tyrant Guard

Ok I have a Tyarnid army which is 56 warrior bugs three lictors, 9 ravegers , 9shrikes ( four have wings open for flight) 2 harpies, 12 fexs, two Mawlogs, two Tyrgons, 3 vemonthropes, and 12 genestealer, and last but not least 126 ripper swarms.
Catch is there all in action poses,( gene stealers are on warrior tails and stealer tops with warrior heads) so there a bit larger then normal...
I carry them now in a three boxs, but im almost done painting them now , and the standard cases are either too small or im going too be using all 4 to 6 inch deep trays.....
I was thing of a old steamer trunk with foam inserts or magnets.... but I want something i can use as a display board too.......
any suggestions.

I have been using metal boxes and magnets for my nids. I found some metal boxes from specialist vendors online and smaller ones from the local Ace hardware. I am switching back to foam because I've had too many glue failures where the magnets come off the bases. Just had one pop off a carnifex yesterday. Not a huge issue with the plastics like warriors or gaunts, but you don't need a tyrant, hive guard or zoanthrope bouncing around in there with other models on your way to the store.

good i might have too try that and i dont have too worry about metal models ever....... I converted most of my metal models over too resin its alot more durable and flexable( i havent had a lash whip break yet even from a ten ft all it just bounced)..... ammo boxes would be cool but i would need about ten of them....

I just put them between layers of tissue inside a foam-lined case (I got the case at Wal-mart for 20 bucks. It's about the size of a large suitcase). So far it's kept everything from nids to Soul Grinders safe from harm.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

I use a tackle box, the gaunts fit perfectly into the smaller compartments.

Lowe's website is down right now but I got one of these and highly recommend it:
http://www0.epinions.com/review/Kobalt_20_Metal_Handbox_with_Tray_epi/content_418095402628
The top tray has enough space to the top to put my ogre bulls even, the bottom space has enough clearence that my giant could stand up in it and that is with the removable tray in it as well. Lowes has it for $30 but I've seen it on sale for $20

Thus, After having thus successively taken each member of the community in its powerful grasp and fashioned him at will, the supreme power then extends its arm over the whole community. It covers the surface of society with a network of small complicated rules, minute and uniform, through which the most original minds and the most energetic characters cannot penetrate, to rise above the crowd. The will of man is not shattered, but softened, bent, and guided; men are seldom forced by it to act, but they are constantly restrained from acting. Such a power does not destroy, but it prevents existence; it does not tyrannize, but it compresses, enervates, extinguishes, and stupefies a people, till each nation is reduced to nothing better than a flock of timid and industrious animals, of which the government is the shepherd

One option would be a couple of the big cases from sabol designs. Not cheap though. If you have models that won't fit in their trays, just buy some foam from a store and cut hold for your more dynamically posed models.
