As promised, here is the thread about units you love, i will start i guess, by saying that i love grey hunters, and blood claws, the look i get from my opponents when they charge accross the table en masse, or are ferried, makes me laugh every time

Chaplains, what not to love about a space warrior priest wielding his badge of office as a weapon? and making my assaulty marines re-roll hits the turn they charge is very nice.

The infantry squad. Can't have enough of those poor guys.

My lootas, granted their luck is insane. Turn one they shot down 2 valkyries (explode) & wrecked a chimera, with 2 squads shooting once & one squad shooting twice. (They were squads of 9) Next turn they blew up the final chimera & 2 squads wrecked a demolisher by glancing it's side to death. again rolling 1,1&2 shots each.

I love lots of units:

Hive Tyrants
Hormagaunts
Howling Banshees
Striking Scorpions
Warp Spiders
Wraithlords
Furioso Dreadnoughts
Assault Marines
Leman Russ Executioners
Leman Russ Vanquishers
Hammerhead Gunships

Sternguard... just an incredibly useful unit, well worth the points.
SM Dreadnoughts... they just have so much character.
Tankbusta's... for the above reason.

Ork Kommados - their fluff is beyond awesome, and the picture in the codex is one of the coolest looking portraits in any codex. Also, Snikrot is a cool model, has cool fluff, and sweet rules.

Nurglings....all you dakkaites should have some.

I love the Ramshackle Ork vehicles. I always imagine the A-Team music playing as the Ork Trucks kareen across the battlefield. Then the Boyz assault out putting hurt on whoever they're attacking.

10 Ork Nobz on Warbikes - Serious hurt!

I love Scorpions, charging a full squad of greenskins with a full squad of Striking scorpions. 36 STR 4 attacks on a charge, plus up to four more attacks that may be STR 4-8

Against IG, i love how a full squad of Broadsides rips their armor asunder with TL STR 10 AP 1 shots

3rd Edition Thousand Sons are easily the best. But in 4/5th edition? Thousands Sons again.

Mines either Plague Marines, or a tie between Sentinels and LRMBT

I love Rune Priests and Wolf Scouts the best.

Soul Grinders...they simply look the coolest.

I love Wraithguard, they need some work in game but I always have really good luck with them. The last game I played with them vs. a nids list they were charged turn 2 by a full squad of geenstealers proceeded to win combat I lost 1 model to his 4. Then sweeping advanced them, consolidated 5 inches towards his Hive Tyrant. My next turn moved up blew away his hive tyrant with an insta kill shot. The next turn I moved up and insta killed another big bug (don't remember the name but the one with the Str 10 weapon.) Was a great day for the WG. My friend hates when I play them now, although it is fun when I warn him I'm playing my Elfzilla with 20 WG Avatar, and 3 Wraith Lords.

I only used them in a quick match, but Oblits are amazing with the ability to use differnt weapons.

Sentinels. I'm usually at the end of their beating stick but they make such a beautiful performance there's just no way I can hate them.

They are pretty good, until they are engaged by a MEQ dreadnought, then the fight lasts a long time

Lootas, they are amazing.

I love big pie plates and power weapons, and Eldar

So i love Fire Prisms and Howling banshees

I think legion of the damned look amazing, however they are nearly worthless on the table...

Tomb Spyders. Able to break the common MC rule of cover saves and able to apply a majority T6 cover save just by having the scarab in a pile of rubble.

Destroyers. Nothing is outside their reach and not much survives a volley from a unit or 2.

Monolith. Let me take your anti-tank, place it in the rubbish pile and tell you to get over it.

I have to agree with this, besides the reasons already mentioned, they look damn cool.

I would agree with this too except i would change 'chaplain' to 'wolf preist'

Swooping Hawks. Sure, they got seriously nerfed a few editions ago, but I remember the glory days... Besides, the models are awesome and have pretty wings. When I was painting up my new squad, I though to myself, "if I could pick my look for a sci-fi future, this would be it."

I like assault squads and land speeders.
