I love all the terminators from Space Hulk, and I am kinda interested in playing the board game anyway. The only turn-off for me is the $220 price tag nowadays.
So I ask you dakka, is it worth it? (With Christmas coming up, I may go half-n-half with my family)

It is, it's a lot of stuff for the price, even at 220. The models are all fantastic, and the game itself is pretty awesome too!

May be a bit biased though lol (sig)

$220.00?

I have one new in box I'll sell to you for $200.00, shipping to anywhere in the continental USA included.

PM me if you're interested.

Are they going for that much now? I could have sworn I saw some on eBay recently for not much more than $100.

(Sorry, not trying to undercut anyone; I have a spare box for "sale" too).

-=Edit=- I stand corrected. Just checked eBay, and including shipping, it's in the same area.

Good luck getting a copy!

Trust me, no matter what damage they have the potential to do, single-shot weapons always flatter to deceive in 40k.                                                                                                       Rule #1

220 USD? Sweet mother, thats about 150 Euros.
Wasnt the original box set 78 euros when released?

Its a great game but I wouldnt pay 100% markup for it.

you need to look on ebay. they routinely go for less than $150 including shipping for new or unbuilt (but open) copies. one even went for $120 including shipping with a single bid only.

Forget ebay. Look at Dakka swap shop. I see them there around $150.

...and yes, it's worth the money. The models are gorgeous and highly detailed. The cardboard "corridors" are thick enough to swap around without fear of bending or creasing. The only thing wonky with it is the hourglass that doesn't really keep 3 minutes worth of time.

If you can find it, go for it. Figure you'd spend $100 on 10 Terminators anyway, and close to $100 again for that many Genestealers and a Broodlord. The game is a load of fun too!

Well amazon has it for 220, and i use them for all my wargaming needs.

I figured if I bought all the 12 termies on ebay for about $10 a piece, thats 120.
If I buy the game, I can play it, get all the termies and genestealers, as well as try, at least, to convert others to warhammer 40k.
I'll probably get it, cause I save up all my cash from my counseling job. We have three cars, so I don't need to buy myself one, (unless we sell one), and that is a ton of money I can spend on whatever I want.

That's like saying you use GW for all your gaming needs when you can pick up all of their stuff cheaper elsewhere and better alternatives for some of their products (modelling materials and tools) a LOT cheaper elsewhere.

Seriously, loyalty costs you money. Shop around and you will save yourself a fortune in this hobby. Still if you really insist on parting with $220, I too have a spare copy

Amazon does have it cheaper than GW...
I do shop around, amazon.com usually has everything much cheaper.

Since everyone has a spare copy, does anyone want to sell/swap me the terminators?

amazon isn't the greatest source for OOP items. people can post stuff for outrageous prices at no cost. someone in the swap shop was wanting an outrageous price for an item because thats what the only seller on amazon was asking; he kept getting no responses after bumping his post and was getting frustrated that no one was biting. i had to PM him with the sad news that copies on ebay were going for around a 1/3 of what he was asking and that auctions with buy it now prices of half his were not getting any bids.

Hmm, I should go check the swap shop, the offers from people in this thread, and ebay then before I buy
