Game Type: Capture and Control
Deployment: Spear Head
Army Point Totals: 1500


The game wasn't really worth a full battle report. There were alot of errors, I think we were both off our game. Most of the map was ruins, about 1 per sector. Not being used to having so much fire support, I deployed rather poorly. All long fangs into 1 building spread out. The razors surrounding and the rhinos too far back He did about the same but held the DP, 1 unit of marines and the possesed in reserve. The Rune Priest annihilated everything with Living lightning. He dropped 1 plague rhino, the defiler, and the possessed rhino. I forgot to use him first turn as well Missiles and Cannon dropped the DP, Possessed, the majority of 1 unit of Marines, and the Oblits. He forgot to outflank his Possessed. . . Really bad rolls saw that 2 units of hunters ended up in destroyed rhinos and pinned and then spent time ducking for cover as plasma cannon began to drop home He also ate all three Razors with combined assaults. The top of turn 5 we decided to call it a draw. I just didn't have the heart to walk across the table and contest his objective. I was being lazy We're both excited about a rematch when we're both a little more sentient

Result: Draw

Things Learned:
Ummmmm. . .don't deploy in the corner with 15 Long Fangs. Note #2. . .Don't deploy your Rhinos so far back they're useless Field 4 Rune Priests, all with Living Lightning. . along with 15 Long Fangs with LasPlas Razors. . .yeah, that'll do.

On other things:
Capture and Control is, simply, stupid. It's a waste of time. Why did they ever think it would be cool to play a game type like that. . .

Wow lots of transports for your wolves, like the list i'll have to try it out sometime.

You mean, why did they include one of the most basic and fundamental missions? Hold your objective. Go get theirs. Doesn't sound stupid to me.

Yep. Or push forward, sweep them off theirs, and win lol. C&C is one of the most interesting; means you cannot stay static and hope to win

You can sit there and guarantee a tie. . .which makes it lame. More often then not, that's what I see happen.
