Hey guys i have no idea anything about warmachine and a lot of guys at the gaming club i go play it and so i want to get started. my question is.. Do the Hordes Minions have a started pack? like the ones that come with a caster, units and a heavy one or are they use for any of the other armys?

Starter packs don't have units, just a Warcaster / Warlock and several warjacks / warbeasts.

And yes, Hordes also has them but not minions.

I don't think they have anything planned at the moment.

They are coming out with the Forces of Hordes: Minions so they may release a box then.

On top of it, the beasts are not all out yet, so it's pretty slim pickings at the minute.

As for Starter Packs, they come with a Caster and jacks (in most cases it's one heavy jack and 2 lights, but then there is Cryx and Khador to break the mold ), they do not come with units.

No and they probably never will. Hordes Minions is like Warmachines Mercanarys. There are to many subfactions, you'd need to many box sets.

Just for the record, there were TWO mercenary Box Sets: Magnus and Gorten.


But as it stands, there's no minion box set, and I'm fairly confident that they won't have one. But if you get a caster, a heavy beast, and two lights, I think you'll be ok.

If Retribution isn't getting a boxed set (and they've already stated they have no plans for it), it's pretty doubful Minions will. The two Merc boxed sets are basically discontinued at this point. only real factions get boxed starters :(

Yeah i love does Croc models they are really nice and i just looked up since theres no started packs that my simple army would come to 75 bucks 96 if i get the stuff i really want lol... sight.. oh well guess is time to start saving up

Around $100 for 15pts is about the norm if you are not looking at the 8 battle-boxes.

Carver, Gun Boar and 2 War Hogs ran me right around there at retail. But I used Miniature Market.

That is what makes the BB such a great deal. They usually have jacks/beasts that are staples of the faction, and save you a good chunk.

I've been considering the Cryx box just to get the new plastic bonejacks early and cheap. Plus I could find a use for another slayer.

With thanksgiving fast approaching I think the turkeys would disagree.

I don't think they have a choice...they will be nom nom and made into working material for more.

Angry Elves aren't even important enough to have their own ranking track for the dakka forums
