Storm Shield and Relic Blade are both on the 'swap bolt pistol and/or chainsword' list for Captains and Chapter Masters... so yes, you can swap your pistol for a storm shield, and your chainsword for a relic blade. Or vice versa.

I'm gonna have A captain on a bike with artificier armour, a relic blade, and a storm shield, accompanied by a command squad on bikes with power weapons and storm shields and a chaplain on a bike. That's:
a T5, S7*, 2+ armour, 3+ invulnerable, feel-no-pain, 12" movement captain that ignores armour,
a T5, S5*, 2+ armour, 4+ invulnerable, feel-no-pain, 12" movement chaplain that ignores armour,
5x T5, S5*, 3+ armour, fell-no-pain, 12" movement command squad that ignores armour.

*on the charge.

Ouch. Imagine that against guardsman or eldar or tau. The captain hits you with 4 ID no armour attacks, the chaplain and command squad hits you with 18 no armour attacks, and even if you do survive

, you need 6's to wound, 5's to hit, the IC's have 2+ armour, the command squad has 3+, if you are lucky enough to be packing a power weapon in there, they still get 3+ invulnerables, and even if you manage to hit, wound, get through thier armour and invulnerable saves- they still get up again on the roll of a 4.

One word- overkill.

For the IG it's not that hard to counter. Leman Russ: by by to hit roll, by by to armor saves (except the invuln) and, by by to FNP. And I don't see anything in there that's going to breach AV14. Don't forget there's more to the game than just the assault phase.

275 attacks. All no saves. I have played with this before it is absolutely devastating. This is worth around 4k points. And I have all the models too XD.
It defeated a Green Tide in 1 freaking turn.
My store said I could use my entire collection. So I did.
In 4th edition I had a 2x better list but they got rid of it XD
I have only ever used this once. In my Entire Hobby Career. And IT was FUN! And No one won the battle. I had a total kill count of over 890. I lost 1 company of marines. And combine that with all of my allies kill counts we hit over 2,000 (Mostly orks and tyranids) killed and we lost 1,500 (mostly guardsmen).
Heres what it was
On both sides
at least 750 Space Marines (I only had two companies at the time)
at least 890 IG
at least 250 eldar
15 titans
2 Warlord Titans
Get this
1,500 ORKS!
900 Tyranids
250 Chaos Marines
and 90 tau.
Oh and 2 squads of necron warriors.

Don't Bother with it, you already have him on a space marine bike, so he has a twin-linked bolter and relentless.

He alone was annoying for a bug army of mine. Survived Warriors with LW/BS. I'd shot up his buddies, but he proved to be my enemy's MVP.

WOW. I was in a game with my stuff (but only with Korvydae, Corveus, Shrike, Caan, the vets and Mantor- they killed 50 guarrdsman, 20 chaos, a vindicator, and a tactical squad. Then the game ended. The thing is- my opponent was more scared of my scout squad "Caddius"- they have, so far, killed a DP, the avatar, a tactical squad, a vindicator, a predator, a land speeder, a carnifex, 3 SM bikers, a captain, chaplain, chapter master, and 2 leman russes. He has 14 kills against units that are either vehicles, HQ, or units over 150 points.
In addition to the chaplains, captains, vanguard and chapter master, i have:
Master of the forge
another 2 captains
30 terminators
lysander
A shaowsword domination force
converted stompa (kustom)
the fortress of arrogance
Yarrick
Preist
General-commissar
Inquisitor lord
Grand master with two thunder hammers!
Not nearly as much as you- I barely have one company- I got half of the 10th, three-quarters of the 1st, and a quarter of the 3rd. total SM army cost- About 8000.
Steel legion- 3000.
Death Korps (just started)- 40.

Orks- 2000.
Tyranids- 2000.
GK- 500 (just started)

P.S these guys are backed up by 10 TH/SS termies, A termie chaplain, a termie libby (w/vortex of doom and quickening), a GK grandmaster w/2 THs, and lysander.
