I just started using my Vallejo paints but i'm finding them extremely watery, to the point that I cannot actually use them. Is there something i'm doing wrong with them, shake even more vigorously? Thanks

They are about the same consistency as a very fresh pot of GW paint, which is indeed quite liquidy. A very slight gloopiness to them when you take a drop is about right, so keep shaking and see if it helps out.
If it is like water, then you might be best bringing it back to the store if you are having problems using it.

I've used Vallejo for a while, and never got that wateryness. shake it for a while, and if that fails, bring it back.

Did you squeeze out more than a drop? If insufficiently shaken, bottles have a tendency to leak out heavily pigmented water before dispensing paint. This is, like, half a drop, though. If the paint is really that much thinner than expected, either take it back if it's defective or reflect on how you need to rehydrate all of your half-congealed GW pots, if you've been slathering colored paste onto your minis instead of applying layers of paint.

Are you using Game color, Model color or Model air? Model air is thought for Airbrush so... they might seem a bit watery to the brush.

Vallejo paints tend to seperate if they sit on a shelf for awhile. You can always do what I do and borrow a line from Reaper Master series paints, which I also use, and add an agitator to the Vallejo drop to make mixing that much easier.

I've had one bottle of Vallejo exhibit the problems you described, I took it back to the store and they were happy to replace it though. Keep in mind, this is out of a lot of paints, and I'm sure that this is an extremely rare occurrence.

I've used Vallejo paints for a while. Some are watery, like you said, and some are really thick. I actually find the watery consistency helpful. But, I think the wateryness is just how some of them are.
