So i played a game on sunday against the new dark eldar and i have to say, i think they are more balanced than i thought when i looked at the codex. This is a quick list rundown

Dark Eldar

Archaon w/agonizer

15 kabalite warriors w/2 dark lances

15 kabalite warriors w/2 splinter cannons

10 trueborn w/ 2 splinter cannons in raider w/dark lance

This was my list for daemons

Great Unclean w/ breath, cloud of flies and aura of decay

4 bloodcrushers w/icon and instrument

6 horrors w/ changeling and bolt

7 daemonettes w/instrument

soul grinder of chaos

The mission was capture and control on spearhead and it was 750 points

My first turn the unclean one, grinder, and bloodcrushers came in. Some dark lances flew into the grinder but failed to do anything but immobilize it. splinter rifles went into the great unclean one with their poisoned (4+). Luckily feel no pain saved him. he had three wounds left out of five. The archaon dueled the great unclean one w/ his agonizer and failed to kill him because of his 5 wounds. The Unclean struck back and insta-killed him. After that the bloodcrushers took fire from poison and brough them down to 1 crusher. On my turn the grinder unleashed vomit on the warriors killing eight of them. Horrors came in and shot warpfire and warriors killing seven of them. My lone crushers charged the 10 man trueborn squad and killed them all. After the unclean one killed the other squad, it was pretty much over by then and when the daemonettes came in, they seized my objective guareenting my victory.

Warriors can take one lance/cannon for every 10 Warriors. Kind of silly to run the archon without a shadowfield.

He probably had it, failed his save anyways on a '1' and was insta-killed. Shadowfield probably didn't make a difference in that case.

Just bad luck if that was the case. Oh well.

He won't be running an Archon without a Shadowfield ever again lol...

I feel the DE list is seriously missing some raider power

I agree, missing some raider power. Had them, and it'd of been completely reversed. Never get out of the raider, and shoot you down. Otherwise, grats on the victory. How far out did you DS in at? Curious, as I tend to DS my daemons about 3 inches from the foe.
