So I've decided to build an ork kustom battle fortress. There's the option of having up to 3 supa-lobbas on it. My question is do I have the option of firing at one target utilizing the multiple barrage ruleset or do they all scatter indipendantly regardless? The reason I ask is because super heavie's weapons can all fire at different targets.

Do you play 30k? It'd be a lot cooler if you did.

That's a good question.

The rule says "If a unit has more than one barrage weapon then they are all fired together in a salvo as follows"

On the other hand, we have the superheavy rules, which are more specific, allowing them to be fired at separate targets.

I would say that where you choose to fire more than one at a single unit the multiple barrage rules will come into play. Note that this is not option - if you do qualify to use the multiple barrage rules then you must use them.

I'd play it using the multiple barrage rules. Multiple guns on the same tank are even more likely to be pointed at basically the same point than multiple foot mortars.

There's just an acre of you fellas, isn't there?

I'd go along and say this is a good way of handling it. Superheavies can fire every gun (except co-axials, ok) at different targets while multiple barrage is for a normal unit shooting. Normal units can't shoot at different targets anyway.

edit: this satisfies both rules IMO

That sounds right.
You can split fire to engage multiple targets, but you can't fire weapons individually against a single target.
This can help you though, if you fired the lobba at a unit, along with several big shootas, all those hits and wounds would be applied at once, rather than in two groups. This makes killing heavy weapons and vet sarg's easier in larger squads.

It's pretty nasty, 3 7inch templates S7 AP4. Can't wait to build it.
