That's one too many skink priests...The slaan gets all the heavens spells automatically.

But the skink priests all have to roll, 3 of them will get you all 7 spells, the last one gets nothing. Why bother?


And what exactly is the ace in the hole? Trying for two comets?

And stacking multiple iceshard blizzards and curse of the midnight wind, as well as getting two wind blasts, which is a magic missile BTW so i can go thru a priest for epic disruption, and finally i could cast 3 thunderbolts in one turn.
Oh and with 4 priests i get all 6 spells and 3 of the signature.
And besides its a theme list, the sky commander slaan and his council of stars

Sounds good. But what about only having 12 power dice a turn, and that's if your lucky. I mean your Slann does get an extra PD on every spell but at least one if not all the priest might end up sitting around doing nothing each turn...

Yes but getting seeing as they're not all that expencive i don't really care, besides it isn't really nothing they get me one more angle to throw thunderbolt and windblast from.
Altho loosing the rod priest and his skinks may net me more stuff, but i loose 2 iceshard blizzards, and that spell is severly underestimated.

I can see how iceshard blizzard can be useful, specially against empire that's for sure. It's an extra dice that needs to be rolled before anything can shoot with their war machines.

The cheapness factor is a good point, but so is the option of dropping one and his skink unit to give you an additional 208 points. Not an awful amount but it could get you a few other things instead.

Here is the 3 priest version, still pondering if i shouldn't go with the original tho.

12 wizard levels!! You've got a wizard level for every dice you can generate

I like the idea, but I think it's just too many casters. I think you could do really well with just the slann and 2 skink priests, one with plaque of tepok. That's going to give you 5 of the 6 spells you can roll for, and obviously you can change to the signature spell if you want.

But even with 2, you're going to have plenty of casters if the slann dies prematurely... although if that happens it is probably game over.

I really like the idea, I just don't think the extra casters make too much sense in 8th edition where wizard levels aren't really giving you anything.

Go with the original!!! I want to hear how it works out.

Suffice it to say slaans belong behind a sturdy meatwall with scales.

you could give the slann lore of death, any succesfull spell that causes unsaved wounds generates new PD for your pool. giving your skinks a chance to fire of so magic too

That's actually a pretty clever idea about the Lore of Death. Can get all your Slann's magic off then all your skink stuff off too. Stops the problem of too many mages, does distract from the theme a little though.

I don't think Death is a good lore for a Temple Guard Slann. It makes Purple Sun pretty difficult to use- you're always hitting Temple Guard, and a misfire in particular will smear a bunch of them. I suppose it does give you a look out sir for if you accidentally sun yourself, but still...

Where is Tetto'eko?

I have an allergy to named cahracters, i applies to both WHFB and 40k.

I think an engine would fit nicely in this list. More protection and a great way to have a hard hitter.

Can you fire off Death spells through the priests? (Not really certain how the bouncing spells thing works.) If you could, getting some skinks out on the flank for Purple Sun hate could be pretty fun. Very nifty list though

Only magic missiles can be channeled.

Ahh bummer, but at least the super fun Wind Gust thing can be channeled.

For ultimate confusion you can preface each casting with "Coco says hi, bitch!"
