Thought you might be interested in something I came across; a possible 'Alternate Model' for the Tauros/Tauros Venator, once you pop a Heavy Flamer/Lascannon on top.

At £6 a pop, as opposed to £30 for Forgeworld's, you can't really complain. Stick on a Heavy Flamer/Lascannon, and perhaps some Brass-Etch Icons, and you're sorted.

I know they're a little basic; dig out your Bits Box, add some IG Tank Bits (Tow cables, storage bags, hooks, chains, etc.) and maybe something from here.

Will one of those landers fit in Scale?

They're all 25mm, so yes, I assume so.

The landers are 6 1/2" to 8 1/2" in length, so around half to 2/3 the length of a valkyrie.

I've already got some of their vehicles in my collection.

I use Gecko scouts as my scout Sentinels (autocannon or missile launcher), the Gecko pickup as a Tauros assault vehicle (single rear axle) and the Goanna as a Venator.

Also use their turrets for my Manticore and hydra tanks.

I was about to point out, they also have Turrets, including a Missile Turret which would make a neat Manticore/Whirlwind.

wonkobaggins did an airmobile catachan force a while back in the P&M blog section using those as his sentinels and they look cool. you may want to tkae a peek.

There are three main sizes, after all. The larger ones come with a separate disc for use with the OC vehicle hulls - but without it, it's a simple matter of adding the right piece to fit into a GW hull.

The thing I'm wondering is how would you get it to fit properly into the Valk? As it is a different model from the FW one and It won't have the things that hold it in place 'till you drop it off, if you have any ideas on how please PM me, as I'm trying to covert one myself

For that price, id say use it!

I got one a mini turret set, a tank turret, a crossfire turret and a support turret. I'll post a pic of em with a chimera and a russ when they arrive for scale purposes.

That's the missile turret with Predator Lascannon bodies, and Old Crow 40mm barrels (whatever the biggest ones are).
Once the ends are replaced with more auto-cannony ends (no pics) it's a killer Hydra.

I say go for it - Old Crow stuff is pretty decent quality (exceptional for the price) and it's super-cheap. Support a small company, do it!
The Taurus is a cool vehicle, but a well-converted one of these would in my opinion be cooler, becuase you made it.

50mm.

One of my hydras uses the multi-missile turret (quad box launchers) with 4 of the 50mm cannon barrels mounted centre in each box launcher.
The other uses the tac-missile launcher (the one above) with lengthened Planetstrike quad cannons (brass rod).

awesome hydra, I love how you combined the lascannons and the gun barrels. I linked Old Crow a long time ago in the sticky for conversion sources and used a tactical missile turret for my own manticore

All Old Crow stuff is awesome. Go buy some

If you don't mind Halo looking stuff (and who does?), these guys make great tauros models as well - for only 9 bucks a pop.



They're dead on scale-wise, and (being toys) they have wheels that roll.
