I would drop demolitions on the vets, get them a 3rd melta, then swap the flamer vets to melta vets. You can just get all the chimeras hull heavy flamers to compensate for lack of body flamers

First CCS needs more specials so you've got more fire power, second one is ok.

I wouldn't take the demos on the Veterans reason is you'll drop out the Vendetta and throw the charge and unleash meltas, then you'll die so you won't get to charge and use all those melta bombs. So essentialy you're paying 30 points for a one shot S8 blast.

I used to use Flamers and in the end I dropped them, I found plasma Veterans to be a lot better and have more damage output even if more expensive. Like the melta Veterans they will bail out the Valkyrie toast something and then die next turn - don't expect a huge amount of return for these guys.

Two Vendettas means both have to fire at the same target; that's 6 lascannons at one target, bit over kill? Plus if one becaomses immobilised it's destroyed, so turbo boost and get immobilised and it's toast...

I think I would drop the hellhound and one of the CCS for more veterans. This will also let you unsquadron the Vendettas. Drop the doctrine on the one unit of veterans and give them a third melta gun. I like a 2 to 1 ratio of melta to plasma. So if you had 1 CCS and 6 Vet squads, you would end up at 5 Melta Veteran Squads, 1 Plasma Vet SQuad and 1 Plasma CCS.
As Mercer said, HHF will take care of your flaming troubles, no need for carried ones. Besides, your two heavy support choices can help to clear out hordes.

I second dropping 1 CCS. I'd even drop the Med pack and pick up another PG. Drop the Valk and use the and use the points for more chimera's for the new vets. I love having my 4PG CCS and another PG Vet squad. The PG Vet squad is great for holding Objectives while Melta's move, and the CCS PG's are great to cover the Melta's. Rapid fire PG's also=crispy marines.

I know people who swear by flamer vets, but they always seem like a waste of points. I'm paying for BS4, and then I'm going to put template weapons on them?

I'd also only put one squad in a Vendetta. Detta's are great fire platforms, but are the poor choice for troop moving. One squad is great for late game objectives.

I love having a Demo charge. I've dropped out of a valk, and taken out a whole squad of Termies before. It may or may not be worth the points, but It's a good gamble in IMO. Marbo is another good way to get the Demo Charge instead, plus he's just cool. I've had him pop on the board, and clear an objective of an entire squad of fire warriors with the demo charge the next turn.

Dropp the HH
Drop the medipak, add plasmagun, plasima pistol, and carapace armor
Give a Chimera to one of the squads in either a vendetta or valk
add a 3rd meltagun
Use the last bit of points to add 2 more psykers or add HB's to the Russ

I's say it seems good. I never have luck with hellhounds personally. they always seem to get blown up before they do anything. maybe thats a good thing since it means people are shooting at it instead of my melta vets...

Yeah, I think a couple of vehicles in the codex fall into this realm. Fire magnets which reduce the chance your opponent will target your Melta Vet Chimera's. Stuff like:

Vendetta
Executioner
Bane Wolf/Devil Dog
Manticore
Demolisher
PBS w/Chimera

With that said, one of the reasons I want a Hell Hound is due to its fire magnet status and allowing a ranged flame template on units in cover.

The only thing I would like to fit in here would be Grenadiers doctrine for the PG vets, and a medic in the PG CCS squad. But I have no idea where to get the points from.
