the dark depths of hell

Many moons ago I worked for GW in Mail Order and they had some artwork showing a mail order troll. I decided to make a model version of the troll.
Re positioning the troll was easy enough as was a large ball of green suff for the bag. I found an epic scale space marine as a model falling out his bag. Biggest problem I had was to make the rock look like a box. I was going to add more boxes to his shoulders to look more like the original picture but other projects got in the way.

Has anyone got a copy of or seen the original picture recently as I cant remember seeing it for some time.

I probably have it on some old GW mail order catalogue sheets (that they used to send out with orders).

I'll have a look when I get home from work and training tonight.

any good ?

I miss those prices...*sob*

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Due to work, I can usually only ship any sales or trades out on Saturday morning. Please trade/purchase with this in mind.

Bum call on my part, I only seem to have mail order sheets from 1987-1989 laying about. Too early I think but Red seems to have got there. Must have seen it in a WD somewhere?

On prices though, the Mk1 Land Raider was £12.99 for 2 when released. I'd forgotten that! The epic one was £2.50 for 2.

Now where did I leave that time machine?

The difference between commitment and involvement is like eggs and ham; the ckicken was "involved", the pig was "comitted".

Yep. The figures used to be more like caricatures than "realistic". Lucky I got most of mine when they were still awesome.

Yeah, I started playing when the last of those styles of models were in production. Though, I see some models in the collector range which I will have to buy and paint up.

There was a colour pic of the troll so got the colour scheme from there. Will try to get in my loft and find it one of these days.

Miss the times when it felt like the "Trollz" were family, but it was a different GW back then.
