I recently got in trouble for riding a scooter at my college campus, across the hall of my dorm to the drinking fountain about 10 ft.
I was notified today that I have a judicial hearing for the following
1. Exhibiting reckless actions that endanger the health & safety of an individual
2. Disrupting the living and learning environment on campus
does this seem fair....???
just asking, I want some honest opinions
and the judicial hearing is for riding a scooter

Does driving a motor vehicle indoors in a place that you don't own and share with others seem like a good idea to you? It doesn't take a college degree to see what was not particularly smart about the action in question. Odds are you'll get a slap on the wrist and told to stop doing dumb things and to get back to studying. If you got suspended than you might have a reason to be upset but as it is now you acted in a less than mature way and have to deal with the consequences.

Hmmm something is going on here.....Oh.... it seems there is some dispute over video taping of some sort......Frazz is really upset now..........wait a minute......whats he go there.......is it? Can it be?....Frazz has just unleashed his hidden weiner dog from his mini bag, while quoting shakespeares "Let slip the dogs the war!!" GG

I get done in freshers week at uni for running down the university village (the student digs you got put up in in the first year) with a shopping trolley dowsed in ignited petrol. All I had to do was go to some lecture about how fire can be dangerous. I learned a lot, supposedly it can kill you.

I know. While it was a stupid thing to do, it would have been an awesomely stupid thing to do.

Would have been even better if done on a Ducati, preferably with hot italian girlfriend on the back.

This is the problem with the yoof of today. No idea of style.
For lack of a real motor vehicle in your 'vehicular' stunt I recommend a ban from Dakka for a week, hopefully you will buck your ideas up.
For an idea for a proper, non motor vehicle stunt try,
Try abseiling out of a college block window using only jumpers and T shirts as rope.
Take a shopping trolley, add a sail made of sheets and drive it down a steep hill which bisects a main road.
You can do something equally as hairbrained/stupid/flying rodent gak idiotic.
Wow, you go to a very touchy school. I got drunk and practiced my golf swing (on real golf balls, around the on-campus apartment complexes) in the middle of the night and all I got was a good chewing out for about 10 minutes. To be fair, it was only a nine iron. I wasn't trying to kill anyone, after all.

I've never met anyone who was killed by fire.

More seriously, I expect there is a rule about not riding bikes, skateboards and so on indoors. So clearly you are in the wrong, even though it was a very minor infraction.
I expect you could mount some legal defence based on the fact that you didn't exhibit reckless actions (you didn't, did you?) and get a bunch of witnesses to say they weren't at all disturbed.
But really, it will just get you into hotter water.
I should plead guilty and get it over with quickly. Plead for leniency based on the point that it was a very minor incident.

Amen to that.
A friend once pulled a performance art there, dressed in drag as a cleaning woman ala Monty Python. He mopped up through several classes in session then burst through the deans office while a new student and her parents were filling out applications. I cannot desccribe how funny it all was. But in the end, all that happened was he got yelled at.

Really? You need to get out more.
Glad that you got out of it but you'll get battered senseless next time a real infraction occurs. With these hearings it isn't the fact that you've got away with it, it's the fact that you now know there's an official system in place whereby you'll get drop kicked every time you do something dumb.
As my mum used to say, if you do something stupid and break your leg, don't come running to me for help.

Well KK says some funny stuff, I think that one just caught me in that "never met someone who was killed by fire? OH!" moment
