Painting this bad boy will take a long time. I still have my other one to finish. I am pretty sure I can get 1 done over Christmas break. I also have to finish painting the rest of my nids, I am estimating will take about 30 hours.

Ill try to post pictures of the one I am currently working on as soon as I get out of my dorm and into a room with some decent lighting.

And yes the base will be awesome, full of digestion pools, acid, genestealers popping out of things, and a lot of ig.

I have been playing around with the idea, because I think it will give me motivation to paint. When my exams are over. I am most likely going to start a paint blog and lay out what I have left to paint for my nids!

A GW employee told me that the Harridan was also a bio titan, is this true?

technically, the Hierophant, Hierodule, Harridan, and Trygon are all suppose to be "titan sized" creatures, the largest being the currently-unmodelled Hydraphant. Trygons, however, have since been demoted somewhat to a large MC.

The Herridan are VERY large. The guy that told me it kept his model at the store so he could work on it when customers weren't around. It's massive, but I still think the Hierophant is still cooler/bigger.
Never heard of the Hydraphant.

Hydraphants only existed in Epic, or so I've heard, and in fluff. They are to Hierophants in size as what a Trygon is to a Carnifex.

Freaking sweet! Yeah I know how it is looking for someone to celebrate a 40k related matter with...my wife just gives me these clueless blank stares or looks at me like im insane when I tell her anything about the game

I was actually bugging my Nid player/friend to build a heirophant for our apoc games here, he says he planned to build a mantis-like creature but i havent seen any draft plans, yet

What are the weapons of the heirophant? I heard it also has some psyker abilities?

It's got two bio cannons, and some other miscellaneous effects (spore clouds, lash whips etc) off the top of my head. Don't remember it having any offensive psychic powers though.

You'll have to come to an agreement with your opponent about how the current rules affect the Heirophant. Examples being:
* Since Warp Field isn't a psychic power anymore, is the Heriophant still a psyker? Does it still have the Warp Field ability and if so should you use the old save or the current 3++ save?
* Do you use the new rules for Scything Talons and does that mean that you should reduce its base number of attacks by 1 since its current profile includes the 'extra attack'?
* Should you use the Spore Cloud as shown in the profile or change it to the same ability now possessed by the Venomthrope?
* How is its movement effected due to the change in the Fleet USR?

Whatever you decide to keep/change with its abillities, it will be a BLAST to play with! Let me just state that using the big nasty for tank shock/ram maneuvers is just amazing! I'm jealous of your actual Heirophant model...I have a scratch-built one that's okay, but I'd love to get my hands on the real thing.
